DIS doctors. Strep-no symptoms but nausea?

Called the ped this AM. LPN on the phone said that it was unlikely to be strep with absolutely no other symptoms after 3 weeks. She said give it til early next week, and if I'm still concerned to go ahead and call for an appointment then. Okey dokey, I'm OK with that!

my kids have had strep more times than i can count..but this time the trep caught me off gaurd-stomach ache, no fever, diarrhea..i let it go for a week before taking her and turns out she was going into scarlet fever!! shedid have a rash and we thought it was her eczema..please dont wait if u see any weird symtoms that last long...

I had strep many many times as a child and several as an adult. I would normally have a really sore throat each time. The last time I was just as your son described, my stomach was naseus off and on. I ended up taking in 2 of my children, one with a sore throat and since it was Christmas Eve I brought my DD alone when she woke up sounding weird. While there when their Dr asked if their stomachs bothered them I was like no but mine does. He then said open up and yupp all 3 of us walked out with prescriptions.

I remember several years back there was a strain of strep going around here that was presenting as stomach aches/upset. Oddly enough both DD's have mentioned "stomach flu" going around all three of their schools, dance studio, etc. We're in Michigan also.

Before she had her tonsils out, DD had strep more times than I can count. She never complained of a sore throat. The one and only symptom was an upset stomach. If you started throwing up, I knew it was mostly likely strep.

Same with my oldest dd. Never had a sore throat but would throw up non-stop.
