and just wondering how bad was it for you to get the red marks of shame.:scared1:

I posted this before I got through all the post. ROFL

Hello everyone! My name is Lori, I am a 53 year old grandmother. I am married and live in Fort Collins, CO, with my husband. My daughter, son-in-law and 14 month old granddaughter live here too as well as my son (29).
I grew up in Florida ( at opening day in WDW ) moved to Texas, then back to Florida in 2010 ( lived 12 miles from WDW) and now home is Colorado. I come from a family of WDW cast members. My father took care of the Disney plane in the late 60's many times when it would land in Florida, 2 nieces work for DVC in FL and my daughter was "friends" of characters for a few years.
Last November we all went to DL/CA and fell in love with the parks. I had not been back to DL since 1978. Matter of fact DH and are are heading down for a few days in May we loved it so much.
Anyway I had wanted to join the group for this past trip, but it wasn't gonna happen. So I am gonna make it happen for 2014.
So here it is..... Will you let me in?

Welcome!!

I like the idea of taking some time to hang at the pool too. Since we now have said this out loud you know it will now rain like crazy during the trip.lol Since we wanted cooler weather this last trip and got heat! Oh well then we sit inside by the fireplace and drink hot totties (sp?)

Catching up on the thread. Stacerita, Amy, and Beth gave me a case of the morning giggles! And now I will never look at a dollar bill without thinking....no, wait....without KNOWING it was, at some point, stripper cash. :thumbsup2

We could still hang out by the pool, in the hot tub, in the rain even. I heard mention of boxed wine, iced tea, and a Long Island from before. Could be a steamy event. :goodvibes

Good morning, ladies! It's a lovely morning here so far, but I know it will heat up before too long. Today and tomorrow are supposed to reach the mid to upper 80's. Whew! Too early for that kind of weather. :sad2:

But, on a positive note, if I stand on my tippy toes, I can see Friday from here! Bring on the weekend! And the corned beef, potatoes, and green beer!! :cool1: Okay, I don't actually want any of that, but isn't that what you have on St. Patty's Day? ;)

I will have to tell it to you one day. It is funny.
The thing is, I have heard it before. I remember you or Stacie telling me, but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was about. Man, getting old sucks ***!!

What cracked me up was he got all up in the face and was like "do you like egg rolls?!?!?!?" Kinda hard not to giggle at that.
OMG, I know! And, he'd crack himself up. "You like egg rolls? I have egg roll for you!" Then he'd laugh and laugh. :rotfl2:
Remember that other guy who photo bombed your pic?? You were taking a pic of the stage or something in the distance and this guy walks by right in front of you, and lifts his shirt up and makes a funny pose. He didn't even work there! Just walking by. :rotfl:

One can only hope! :wizard: ;)

Especially out here! :p

I personally didn't think it was that bad. And honestly, there were many others with the same graphic in their signatures as well. I guess I was a bit on the radar for some pervious issues so I got the 'red marks of shame' as you put it. LOL. That sounds like a follow up to those fifty shades books.

Are those for real??

And they are spectacular!

Not only was it at one time stripper cash, it was probably shoved into a g-string as well. Now how is that visual?

OMG, I know! And, he'd crack himself up. "You like egg rolls? I have egg roll for you!" Then he'd laugh and laugh. :rotfl2:

I forgot about the photo bomb guy. Should have gave him a dollar. I will have to check out the pics from that trip again. haven't looked at them in ages.

We're having braised cabbage, roasted potatoes, and crusty bread of some sort, that's about as close as I choose to be for traditional St pats.

We occasionally make note of St Urho's day (day before St Pat's), the story is the Finnish settlers didn't want to miss out on the fun so St Urho was created. Something abut snakes being charmed out of the grape vines. Purple is the color choice.

Today though, today we are having pie. Happy Pi Day!

Aw, sorry to hear things are so hectic. I hope you are able to take a breather and catch up soon!

Thanks, me too! lol I was just asked to teach another Saturday but I'm going to say no because I'm hoping to meet up with Cami (DD25) and Josie (DGD4) over that weekend in Reno. :) So far my weekend seems pretty low-key, working Friday night at the bar, then dinner with a friend Saturday and after that we will go to her house and pick fabrics for a quilt she's going to make me. :)

That sounds quite official. Do I get a badge and a flamethrower?

Flamethrower???? How about a Nerf gun? :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 sign me up! ;)

We do!! :) I have the corned beef in the fridge already, the cabbage, carrots and potatoes as well. We will make that Sunday for dinner and have it with Irish Soda Bread and rainbow cupcakes. :) We don't normally do the green beer though.

Morning all.

I've got a busy weekend ahead. Shelby has a b ball game tomorrow night, then another one on Sat and she has community service on Sunday. It is my weekend with the girls otherwise I was invited to go line dancing Sat but I decided I didn't want to miss out on my time with them. We only have a few weeks left until swim starts and then life gets crazy again LOL. We are going to mom's on Sunday night for a little corned beef and cabbage and to watch Amazing Race. Other than that not much.

I am excited about next weekend though as I am going with my single parents group to Daffodill hill and Black Chasm Caves. Really excited and think it will be a fun day.

I went to a crab feed last sat with them so having fun figuring out this single lifestyle again LOL.

Marie I have brought my kids a few times. Last year the trip was during their president's week break so although we were at the parks at the same time I didn't participate although as a few have said I could have and left them with their dad. This year my daughter had a cheer comp and so their dad went and the girls spent time with him during the diva events. I will be having to do that again next year but I will be honest I can't wait till it is just me and mom again.

It is SO much fun to just have a complete ladies trip and not have to feel guilty about not spending time with the kiddos.

CAPRI I wasn't sure if I should post this here or on FB but mom is going to get a scooter for the entire trip next time so we would need an accessible room as well. Not sure if you have to request so many or whatever but thought I should mention it. Or do we just mention it when we book it? Just wondering how that works.

Anywho I too am super excited and will DEF be spending some pool/spa time. Esp if the weather is anything like it was this past trip. The last few trips mom and I went to DLH we ALWAYS make spa time. So nice!!

I'll be sitting by the pool no matter what the weather! Either with iced tea or hot chocolate.:)

You have some of them in your sig. That was fun. I loved our group flip flop shot.

You were totally targeted with that graphic in your sig by the way. Heck, I was the one who posted it and had it in mine, yet they never said a word to me. I guess I am just unnoticeable. LOL

Ooooh, now pie I could go for! Yum.

Rainbow cupcakes! How fun. I've seen the recipes for those before but it always seemed like a lot of work. So cute though!!

Sounds like fun. Glad you have a group of gals to help you figure it all out.

If it's hot chocolate weather, I'll join you. Otherwise, I'll probably be inside in an air conditioned lounge somewhere. :rolleyes1

I like egg rolls. Just saying.

You just request it when you make your reservation. :thumbsup2
