IRS Update: So as you remember, I received a letter on Sept 26 stating our claim had been processed....thinking a check would soon follow, we waited.
On Sept 30th, I called to find out when I should expect the money.....and was told to call a different number late the next week. This was after being on hold for 65 mins.
I decided not to call last week, just wait & see if it would show up. Today's mail came & no check (rumor from other adoptive parents were that a bulk of checks were being mailed on on the 7th). So when no check showed up, I decided to call the other number I was given. After being on hold for nearly 75 mins, the guy starts off by telling me that I might be getting another letter re: are 2009 return......WHAT???????? Last time I called I was told both 09 & 10 were closed. Then he continued, but your 10 refund will be mailed out on the 21st. They can send all the letters they want....its the 10 return that has the full refund on it (plus interest)!!!
So I can finally say.......I think I have a good idea of when our check will FINALLY arrive!!!!
Was really hoping it was this week....would have loved to pop down to DL to catch up with all the Divas going the weekend of the 21st....but oh well.....first things first......need to get us moved!! Then I can move on to Disney planning!!!

So the trip is on......just 2 of us going this time around.
Tyler's really excited & it will be nice to have him along since I won't be doing the Diva thing the entire time.
We've decided to use the tax return money to purchase a package for the fall. This way we'll be able to see CarsLand!!!!!!! We'll base our dates on what will work best for Derek, since he'll be missing "college courses"......don't want to do it during mid-terms or something like that. So not sure if we'll go before the Halloween season starts, during the Halloween season or during the Christmas season........you'll just have to keep an eye out on what we decide!!!
