I am working around Scotty's schedule so that he only has to take off two days. If I change it he has to take more off. And I am afraid he will feel slighted if I do the trip then and ditch at all for the Diva's.

Kaoden-- I love when you go on trips you have such wonderful Trip reports. Same with Lauries Trip reports I love reading and seeing the pictures she is writing about.

I agree with you Kaoden, Nice when you can take a trip to DL and only need to take two days off of work. Is your whole family going?

Kelly TSA sounds like a good opportunity. Benifits sure do add up to. I wonder if you would get any airline perks. That would sure be a plus but I would think they don't. Having been in the military I hope that it would open a few doors for you. My sisters sister in law went to work at post office when she got out of Navy. Been so long not sure if she retired or was in for over 15 years. Heavens my memory is so bad these days. No matter I hope one of the leads gets you that perfect job .

Morning all!!

Michelle no I hadn't thought about TJ although I have to say now that I found this TSA thing I am really going to try and look for jobs like that because I REALLY have to look out for my future. Once Shane and I split for good I lose my medical and any retirement that we MAY have had together. He doesn't have a ton through his union but I have NONE. I haven't worked at a normal job since the 90's and never contributed to any kind of retirement. All the jobs I had if they offered one it was like 401K's that you had to contribute to and I never made enough that I could afford to have money taken out of my check. So I really like the idea of a gov job because they have TONS of benefits.

I know that the potential for job growth is there and I need to think about all those things since I have to rely on myself from now on. I'm facing being in my mid 40's and starting over WITH 2 kids to raise with probably very little help so I have to get the best possilble job I can.

Anyway so yesterday mom and I got Katy all signed up and got her shoes bought and then mom had to sew them because ballet shoes come with little straps that need to be adjusted so that is all done and now tonight is her first class. She is SO excited!!

Also yesterday I went to the uniform store and was able to get her 2 more shirts. I wanted to get 3 but they were out of the other one she wanted and she needs a sweatshirt for p.e. so we still need to get that. I will just be glad when we are not having to spend money every flippin day. Esp since we still have NONE coming in. Shane is STILL off work but at least he will get 2 full weeks of UE after this week. But the bad thing is that only equals a little more than one week of his normal pay and we have all our big bills due. The two weeks of UE would be eaten up almost entirely by our rent so not sure how that is going to work. May have to ask mom for a pass this month and I don't know how that is going to go over cuz the office is flat broke and I know she is going to have to loan IT money too. It is just UGLY and it is making my stress go through the roof.

Oh and I mentioned about Katy's pics well we got the order form and they only take a head shot anyway lol so I am not even going to have her bother with taking her dress. I just wish I had known they did this I wouldn't have bought her the dress. Since you won't even see her clothes she is just going to wear her uniform.

I am hoping for the spring pics though that they do more of a full length pose but I guess we shall see.

Anyway that's bout it for me. Just lots o stuff going on this week!!

Michelle that is exciting about your upcoming trip but I agree with Laurie it is too bad that you guys can't be there at the same time.

We are still going to go on ours in Nov because like always most of the stuff is non-refundable and this may be the LAST trip I get to take for a LONG time. When I get a job I don't forsee being able to take any time off for quite a bit. Mom wanted to do a trip this summer but I doubt that will happen and I am just hoping that I will even be able to get the time off next Jan for Katy's birthday. I guess it depends on what job I get. If I get lucky and get the TSA job it might be a problem cuz I know the holidays are BUSY times so trying to get off then might be a problem!

Guess I will just have to wait and see.

Hope you can get the TSA job Kelly.....sounds like it would be just what you needed.

Keeping this short this morning......bad nights sleep....left shoulder was hurting & I kept getting foot cramps. Got up & the left shoulder was killing me, my ribcage feels like its squeezing me, I can't take a deep breath.....I'm hurting!!! Kayla has been like wrestling an alligator here at diaper times & I'm pretty sure I pulled something....but it does freak you out a bit.

Michelle yeah I am def leaving all my options open esp in this economy when jobs are so hard to come by. It was just at first I thought I would have to take anything I can get but now that I have looked into the gov jobs I would really like to try for something like that where I feel like I would have probably the best shot at a good retirement and such. VERY few jobs offer that anymore and since I am getting older I don't have THAT many more years that I am going to be ABLE to work. So I need to start thinking about stuff like that. I always just assumed that shane would have some type of pension and we would live off that but now that I am on my own with nothing I have to think about that stuff. Plus like I said with the gov there is great opportunity to move up. They are part of dept of homeland security so there is upward mobility. I never really thought at this point in my life that would be something I wanted to think about but now I am kind of forced to and with a gov job there is lots of opportunities.

I appreciate the info though because certainly nothing is set in stone and I am DEF keeping all my options open.

Laurie that stinks about your shoulder. I have had that stupid cough that Katy had and I have just been hoping it will go away cuz I really don't want to go to the doc and we have been putting out SO much dang money on all the kids back to school stuff and Katy's doc apts and meds and just everything else as you prob well know us mom's usually get left in the dust LOL.

I do have a follow-up with my doc on Sept 6th for my migraines so I keep thinking if I am not better by then I will just talk to him about it then but that is still a WAYS away. I get these coughing attacks where I almost throw up so it is DEF annoying and I have been having trouble sleeping BUT my mom had the same thing first never went to the doc and her's is FINALLY going away so that is kind of what I have been hoping!

Sure hope you feel better. Maybe some motrin or a muscle relaxer if you have one?

Thanx Kelly.....I'm pretty sure it's from wrangling Michayla. The little varment is stronger than she looks!!! I've never seen where it takes 3 people to hold down a child for a diaper change. With my fibromyalgia, it just complicates it.....the pain is way worse then it would be for a "normal" person. As long as I don't have issues catching my breath.....I'm pretty confident it's muscle pulls. But dang.....IT HURTS!!!!

Hope your coughing subsides....otherwise you'll be having the sore ribcage like me......it's no fun!!!

It really disturbed my sleep last night (that & the foot cramps & hot humidity we were dealing with). Ain't that the truth......Derek borrowed my car to work this morning until 12:15 & when 2 came around we text him to find out he was working until 7:15.....ummmmmm, we had NO GROCERIES in the house for lunch today....that was fun!! Would have dropped him off If I had known. (he forgot he picked up the shift)

Then Anthony punched Addy in the eye. Shyann is clingy, needy & in my face. Michayla won't stop throwing & chucking toys around the house.

Its hot, muggy & people are a bit hungry now.........just a little annoyed to say the least.

Laurie, Yes for reason reason kids think they need to eat . Why does this seem to happen when you really do not feel good . I am sure, like you said, the heat is not helping. When I get leg and foot cramps it is because I need to drink some water. I am thinking because of the heat you might have lost more fluids then you think. Worth a try to see if works. I works very fast for me. I drink some water and maybe 5 minutes later I feel the cramps going away.

Sounds like you go grocery shopping with all four kids in tow. You are a brave soul. Daughter took her kids shopping yesterday one is 4 and one is 7. I swear it was Austen touched me-- Lilly wont give me any room--- Austen is making the steering wheel not move, Lilly bit me ---( ya she bit him -- sheesh). Makes daughter nervous-- It doesnt bother me -- if they fight the cart just sits where it is -- when they quit I move LOL. I must say I hate those car carts-- so hard to push and so big turning a corner we almost needed one of those guide cars that travel before and after long an and or wide loads.

Did you take any of the kids with your tonight? Either way I hope you have a fun night.

Oh, my gosh I cut a hot pepper tonight -- the green small ones-- jaelapeano or how ever it is spelled and stupid me I rubbed my eye. I hurt so bad-- used ice cube to cool it off and get some water in eye. I swear I am buying some gloves for next time. I have never done that before and hope I never do it again.

Night-- hope tomorrow starts out better.

So karaoke was short lived......I was in too much pain & hard to catch my breath. So we came home. No kids grocery shopping....yikes, thanx but no thanx!!!
