DIS Divas, Take Two & Tyler....WooHoo!! COMPLETED!...OVER 1400 PICS!!

I have found that by calling and setting up --return to airport time-- as soon as I check into room--I get a good time. I know the longer you wait to schedule your return trip to airport the more likely the best pick up times are taken. I have even been known to not accept the first time they give me and ask for a pick up time say 30 mins later.

We had a rental car last time -- I rented but son in law was driver of record---and we still got to airport way to early LOL. I know plan to get a sack lunch for the plane ride home -- makes the waitng go so much easier.

Have to remember SNA is smaller metro airport --so easier to get into and out of.

Michele and Laurie -- planning is almost over-- soon it will be just be fun fun fun. Oh and Food Food Food :).

Oh boy, I can't tell you how glad I am to see this!!

Quoted from the Disney Parks Blog: "We’re getting ready to party New Orleans-style here at Disneyland park. During February and early March, the streets of New Orleans Square will be filled with music, Disney characters, street performers and delicious food at New Orleans Bayou Bash!

Come join the party from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on the following dates:

February 10, 11, 12
February 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
February 24, 25, 26
March 2, 3, 4
March 9, 10, 11

Special entertainment will include performances by Princess Tiana, Louis and Naveen and meet & greet opportunities with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale – all dressed up in their Mardi Gras finest!"

Last year, they had special Family Fun Weekends in late January & all of February & even into early March. They were themed weekends that added a little extra magic at the park. NOS is always festive anyways.....but add this in & it's amazing!!!! Here are a couple pics from last year & what I'll have to look forward to this trip!!"

They had meet-n-greets with Chip & Dale:

And Mickey & Minnie back in the Court of Angels:

They had a small parade with the characters & the jazz band:

As you can see, the characters were dressed in their best Mardi Gras outfits!

They also had a longer Tiana show down by the Rivers of America that included a processional from the Golden Horseshoe. Prince Naveen & Louis also were there for the celebration.

I look fwd to reading your trip report! I read the one you wrote when you brought your entire family, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have been away from the boards for awhile, because I did not have a definite date selected for an upcoming trip. I'm odd, because I can't bear to come to these boards unless I have one planned (otherwise, I just get sad & depressed lol). Now that we have our airline tix purchased, and a solid trip lined up, I'm back!!!

Kaitlin, your trip sounds amazing!!! I've never been to any of those places!! Are you going to the theme park in Hershey?? Are you doing anything special in New York?? Just getting to go to all those places would be a wonderful trip but then you're adding in the cruise too!! :woohoo:

Well here we are at 12 days & I've disappeared from my PTR.......I tell you, I'm looking forward to this trip & it's been a lifesaver in keeping my mind occupied in taking care of last minute things: luggage, Ty's parkhopper, finishing the name tags & bags, deciding on transportation to & from the airport, etc.

Today is my dad's service.....this is what has kept me somewhat silent on here. Today will be the final chapter in my dad's 85 yrs.......it will be a hard day....but also one with lots of wonderful memories, photos & songs. I've decided to sing at the service. Dad & I shared a love for big band music & he never really got the chance to hear me do this kind of music.....so I'm going to sing Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered (in the Linda Rondstadt/Nelson Riddle Orchestra style). I made sure it was a song my dad would have loved.....but doesn't have sentimental ties, otherwise I would never be able to get through it. I've also written up a short thing to read. I'm pretty sure my dad would approve!!

I look forward to getting back on here & getting a countdown going!! :woohoo:

Your dad's service sounds like it will be great and I am sure he will be smiling down on you when he hears your sing
