Good morning, ladies!!

Well, sort of. LOL It is a Monday after all. I could not sleep last night, which did not make for a very fun morning.
I had to take Ruben to work so I could have the van. Noelle fractured her finger last week playing basketball, so she's got an appt today to get that looked at by a specialist. Hopefully she won't need surgery!

Adam has an appt later this week for a possible hernia. Hopefully that won't require surgery!
And, of course, I am still on pins and needles waiting for the results of my echo and biopsy. Oh, what fun we are having in this household lately!! Have I mentioned just how tired of doctors I am? :rolleyes1

Oh well. Hopefully y'all are having a better Monday than I am! :)

Just a reminder, if you are thinking of signing up for the Halloween exchange, sign-ups will close Wednesday morning and for those of you who have signed up, names will go out later that day. :thumbsup2

OMG, Beth, you have your hands full with doctors :worried: I hope it all turns out well for the kids and yourself. :thumbsup2

Jen, I saw your post about your friends accident. That is so tragic  My thoughts and prayers go to their family and friends who are dealing with this loss.

Well, happy Monday everyone!

Jen~ That is awful! I saw your post earlier.

January~ Congrats! How exciting!

Pam, thanks for the well wishes. Noelle doesn't need surgery, so that's good news! She has to keep it taped up for three weeks and go back for a recheck, but that's ok with me!
Now, if the other doctors would just give us good news as well. ;)

Jen, I read about your friends on FB and saw their photo. So unbelievably sad. But, as was already said, the only saving grace is that they all went together. Imagine if such a tragedy happened, and only one of the family survived? OMG, I'm not sure I could go on if I lost my kids and husband all in one swoop. :sad2:

Jen, that is the saddest news I have heard in a long time. Just tragic. I will be praying for the family members that were left behind. So sad. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Beth, I have been thinking about you all day.

Git what done, you ask? Git yer name on the Meetin and Greetin party list!!

Yes ladies, it's that time. We are now accepting sign-ups for Thursday's party at the Carousel Hotel @ 5:30. It's always a great time, so you do not want to miss this. Especially if this is your first time, it's a great way to meet everyone. And, the snack/candy table is delicious! Mmmm-mmm.

So, if you are planning on attending the Meet and Greet party, I need you to let me know. Post here if possible, or on our Facebook page. The list will be on the front page, so you can check and make sure you are on it if you are planning to attend.

We have a large group signed up for this trip, and knowing approximately how many will be at the party will help us get a better idea of how much food, drink, etc we will need. Please sign up as soon as you know whether you'll be there or not.
Thanks!!

(For more information on this years theme, check the front page of this thread.)

I'm sorry I've been MIA, my mom's 60th birthday party was this weekend & I was in charge of the planning (cooking, decorating, & well...all of it!)

I will be there for the meet & greet! I will catch up on posts...wow! Hard when you miss a few days! haha :)

I will also send you our Halloween stuff later today or first thing tomorrow morning!! :)

Good morning, ladies!! Happy Tuesday! :cool1: Hey, at least it's not Monday, right? ;)

Beth, I have been thinking about you all day.
Thanks! No news yet. Any news from your Dr.?
Remind me again when you'll be out here. Let me know if you still wanted to meet up. If not, I understand. I know it's hard to sneak away when your here with family and friends. Plus, I'll see you at DL in two weeks. So, I'll leave it up to you. :)

Hey Catrina! I'll add you to the Meet and Greet list. Thanks! And, I'll keep an eye out for the Halloween sign up. Today would be better, (only if you are able) because sign-ups will be closing tomorrow morning so I can work on getting all the names sent out. :)

Hmm, I should set a time. Just saying "morning" is too vague. Let's say that the Halloween sign-ups will close tomorrow at..... 9:30 a.m.
Yep, that works. We've got a big exchange group this year! :cool1:

Happy Birthday to your mom! Sounds like it was a fun party.

My son wore an American flag shirt today, as he has every 9/11 for the past several years. I'm not sure if anyone here lost any loved ones on that day, but if you did, hugs to you. It doesn't seem like it's been that long already. I can still clearly remember hearing the news and watching the television. Hmm.

*sigh* is it Friday yet? lol This new account we got is a serious PITA......or maybe I should say PIMA because I'm the one who deals with most of it. LOL It's very frustrating. I'm having problems sleeping, I'm exhausted until I lay down then I'm just awake for hours trying to fall asleep, makes me exhausted the next day! I don't like it. :( I need to get some laundry done tonight, I don't have a ton but I have some so I need to get it done. Other than that, no plans for my evening, I'll probably work on more jewelry, I need to get going on my costume jewelry, it will be a process.

My baby is leaving tomorrow for Australia.:sad::sad:
And my other baby is having a baby first thing in the morning. :lovestruc

This emotional mom is emotional.

Safe travels to Kaitlyn. Did she get over her Valley Fever? I know you raised her right, and she is going to go out, and be just fine. But, I know you'll worry, as all moms do!

And, best of luck to your other baby, on their baby! You're gonna be a Grandma, again! That's so awesome. What a blessed family you have. :)

Thanks Beth! I need all the hugs i can get.

No, she is really not done with the Valley Fever. It is one of those things that takes time to heal all the way. She has a 3 month supply of medicine, and if need be, we will send her more. The good thing she has going, is that she is young, and is healing along just fine. For the first 3 months in Australia she will just be in discipleship training. If she feels up to it, she also has the opportunity to learn how to surf and scuba dive. And she can back off on that if need be. Now doesn't that sound hard? Especially in a town called Surfer's Paradise. LOL!

It is the next 3 months after, when hiking into the boondocks, that she needs to be strong and healthy. We bought her a good backpack that will have everything she needs in it to live. Sleeping bag, pillow, mattress, towels and so on. So thank goodness, she has time to get better and better before she goes out, into who knows where.

It's going to be a great experience for her. I just need to keep reminding myself of that fact and keep praying that she will be just fine and in God's hands no matter what.

But the moment she gets home, and sets foot on good ole American soil again, I am going to be one very happy mother hen!!!!!! :worship:

Mel I can only imagine not seeing your baby for 6 long months. I would def have a hard time with that as well! But I know she is going to have an amazing time and make great memories and hopefully it will go by quick!

And congrats again on the new grandbaby. How exciting!!

Wow! That is VERY cool!! What is this for? -sorry, I'm still new :) I hope she feels better soon!!

I get my car back from the shop today. YAY!! We drove to Walla Walla (about a 5 hour drive from where I live) for my mom's birthday over the weekend & as I pulled into the driveway on Sunday night I heard some horrible noises. The wheel bearing went out on my front tire. SOOO Thankful it didn't happen as we were coming down the pass on the way home!

Cannot wait to get my name for the Halloween Exchange!! :) After I get my car we get to go shopping! There is SO much cute stuff out for Halloween already!! :)

I am now caught up on all of the posts...wow! A lot going on!!! I hope everyone & their families are well (& healing)...sending lots of thoughts & prayers to everyone!!

Mel - stay strong! She is going to have a great adventure down! And congrats on another grand baby! Best wishes to you and your family today! :)

So, I have been having back issue/plantar fasciitis problems for quite some time. The PF problems seem to be mostly done but when my back acts up, it flairs up. Well I noticed with all my traveling this summer that my back (and PF) felt great after staying in all the hotels. Get home, and it starts bugging me again. Finally figured out - I think it is my bed!!! It is only 5 years old, a top of the line pillow top but it is already losing support! Went to the store yesterday thinking I was just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one and the salesman told me to first call customer service. Apparently my mattress has a 20 year warranty!! :hyper: Let's just hope this warranty isn't something that is easy for the company to get out of. I have since learned that I should not have bought a pillow top - while the underlying mattress may still be good, the pillow top itself breaks down. And with this type, you can not flip it. I have been rotating it head to foot which give temporary relief. So heres hoping customer service comes through.

Our picnic season is running strong through September and early October but we are starting to slow down - which is a good thing!

Can't wait to see some Diva's later this month for our "mini meet"!

Happy Hump Day ladies!

This emotional mom is emotional.
 Mel! I am sure she will have a blast. Hey...maybe she will find Nemo :beach:

Bridget~ I hope customer service pulls through and you get a new mattress. Back pain is no fun.

Well, the school day is about to start...better log off and let my students in the room. We are watching Twilight Zone today and it makes me think about TOT :goodvibes

Oh my gosh Bridget it sounded like you were talking about MY life! I have horrible sciatic pains and other back/leg pains that drive me nuts. When my ex was deployed to Iraq I thought I was doing a good thing and we bought one of those pillow tops as well. Mine too is only about 5 years old and was also a pillow top. It was SO nice and fluffy when I first bought it and now the stupid thing is not only squished down but there is literally a hole where most of my body weight is. I have to sleep sitting almost completely sitting up most of the time because of migraines and stomach issues.

For me though it is not worth getting another one like what I had. I really want to get a tempurpedic so I am saving for that. I hope you have good luck with yours. There is nothing worse then going to bed and waking up feeling WORSE than when you went to bed. :(
