DIS Digi-Scrappers Challenge #9 (6/11 - 6/17)

Yzerbear -- Thanks for the fun challenge. Cool LO. I love the title with the gel action alpha. Very cool.

Bernie-Ann -- Awesome LO. I especially love your title and the little tag.

Sleepingbean -- Very nice!! Love the colors. I love those bracket templates. So fun!

Susan -- Awesome 2 pager. Love the pics through the year. How special! And how neat that the pictures are in a unique spot in the park. Makes them even more special!!

Marileeh -- Very cool pics of the All-Star Cafe. Love the baseball alpha.

Sleepingbean - ...But I don't think that's my template. I'm pretty sure its my Digi-Keepsakes by Monica. It was a template challengea at SM though, so I can see where you might have thought it was mine. But its not.

Thanks for catching that! I get a bit confused about where it all comes from! :faint:

Black and white pics are a real Challenge for me on this Board because when I think of Disney, lots of COLOR comes to mind. So this was kind of out of the box for me. Thanks Melissa.

Thank you. Great layout. I really like the baseball alpha you used. Very neat. Also like how you used the star in the title instead of the word. Very nice. Excellent job!

Thank you for participating! :)

Part of this challenge was to try to get you to think outside the box a bit so I'm glad that you stepped up to the challenge and tried something you wouldn't normally do. It turned out awesome. The photos look so cute in BW. The layout is beautiful. The paper and elements are so cute and work well together. Awesome job!

Thank you for participating. :)

Yzerbear -- Thanks for the fun challenge. Cool LO. I love the title with the gel action alpha. Very cool.
You're welcome. And thank you. :) I had tried a couple other alphas for the title, but I liked the gel one the best. I had never really used that action before so I was pleased. I have so many of the dang actions that I never use or have forgotten I have.

Yzerbear19 - Your layout is a great way to start an awesome challenge. :cutie:

Marilee
Thank you. When I was thinking of the challenge I wasn't sure what I wanted to use for mine, but then I hit upon the idea for using the EPCOT pictures, mostly because of the colors in the photo (ironic isn't it then that I made them BW :lmao:).

I really wanted to create a challenge where you would have to maybe think outside your box a little, look at things in a different way. I think its fun to use the Mickey colors for more than just Mickey and its so cool to see how many different people use the same colors.

If I haven't responded to your layout or sent you your participation prize, just let me know, but I think I've got everyone so far. Keep the awesome layouts coming! :)

This one was a little more difficult than I thought it was going to be. I knew which pic I was going to use, and a vague idea of the things I was going to use, but then I started adding things and couldn't stop. I finally made myself stop, though. This is my ds the first time we went to D-land in 2002. I wanted a pic of him in his Mickey ears and this was the pose I got...I LOVE THIS PIC!!!! He's my "GQ" guy! LOL

Our DIS challenges are all Disney related. If you don't have something from the parks, a kid in a Disney costume or a Disney collection or something else Disney from home will work too!

I have been gone off an on for the past week and leave for The World (via a few days in Sarasota) next Friday, but I really want to do this challenge! I will work on a layout today.

Am I understanding that this LO does not have to be about Disney stuff, just include a Mickey head shape somewhere?

Thanks for hosting, Yzerbear, and great participation prize!

Do they have to be Disney pictures?

Yes. Your layout needs to be Disney related, doesn't have to be pictures from the parks like Fran said it could be kids wearing a Disney costume or I think Britt one week had one about a Disney dinner she attended. Doesn't have to be from or about the parks, just related to Disney in some way. :)

Nope, it needs to be Disney related as usual. The Mickey head is just one of the requirements, but it should eb Disney related.

Thanks for hosting, Yzerbear, and great participation prize!
Thank you. Glad you like it. :) I wasn't sure since I had never really made any pieces of wordart before, so I was kind of nervious posting it.

OMG! That is SOOOOOO cute. What a cute pose. It looks great in BW. And a great story! The title is very cool. Outstanding job!

Thank you for participating. :)

Hmmm, I've already used the pics of my dd in her Tink costume. I can't seem to find pics from our trip in 2000 (I have already scrapped those). I need to scan pics of ds' 1st b-day (it was Pooh).

Here's mine, and it's not even close to being Mickey's House!! My DH is watching a history of NASA show on tv, I think it may have subliminally influenced my picture choice. Click for credits or go see it at SM. ;)

That's so cool that you were able to see it. I remember when we went to WDW in 1987 we went to Cape Canavrel (sp?), but it was during the point after Challenger when they weren't sending up any shuttles. II would love someday to see one launch.

Great layout. I love how you used the Tuesday template for it. Very smart. Super job!

Thank you for participating! :)

Hi! Long time no scrap!!! LOL I am back, and forced myself to do a page.. LOL I am just having a heck of a time getting my mojo back.. :( Almost wonder if i am better off just printing out my pics and scrapping the title page or something for my books.. I have 2 WDW trips, one Disneyland CA, and we are going back on the disney cruise in aug/sept!! (And don't even get me started on REGULAR everyday pics!!) I am just getting frustrated, and wondering if i can somehow just do an altered album or something..

Oh well.. for now, here is my challenge entry!
