Jan I kept trying to use red too; the horse pics are very cute love the framing and paper swatches.

Robin so cute; love the circle effect. I'll have to copy that and the border. Worked out great.

Wen love the fog effect; really works and the picture border makes the color in the picture really stand out. Very cute costumes.

18magic love the extractions. Did you extract or create the spider web Mickey?

Janis love the layers you've created with shadows.

Thanks everyone for playing so far! I've sent out the participation prize up to this point. If you didn't get it, please PM me!

Krisi616-Buzz is one of my fav rides! Love the extraction, it's such a cool element! Also lov how you highlighted 2 dates with the date strip.

carolinagirl-Love how you placed the papers. You used the perfect elements, too!

Lvdisney-Love the papers, how you recolored the alpha, and the placement of the pics.

But then I realized the alpha isn't any of the allowed colors - could it be counted as part of the "bling" since it's metal? If not, I'll change it to something else. Just let me know.

Usually in color challenges, the rules say you can use metal in things like staples & brads, but since I said no staples, I didn't include that rule. I'll let it slide for the alpha, though. ;)

Love how you used the strip along the side with all the elements. Very cool!

janette-Love all layering and torn paper! Also love how you mixed up the alpha in the title!

Unfortunately, I goofed a little. LOL! I was looking at the color scheme chips, and forgot to double check the list of colors in the post. Well, my orange is red. Eck! I will try to work up another layout soon, but thought I'd go ahead and submit this one. Not sure if it can count for the challenge or not? :confused3

I can change the colors on my monitor and let it slide this time if you don't get another LO done. ;)

Love the blocks along the side of paper & pics. Love the hidden mickey over the cluster, too!

RRBB-Love the pics in a circle with the text going around!

wenrob-Love the black background, it makes everything pop! Love the elements & title through the string & the spider web is so cute!

18MAGIC-Love how you used all the extractions for elements!!

Janis-Perfect elements, I especially love the haunted house!

I have a (more than likely) stupid question. If we don't have any relevant Disney related pictures could we use something generic off the web? I mean, like maybe Disney's promotional picture re the Halloween party?

I wanna get back into these challenges because I miss you guys but maybe I should wait until the next one?

Sorry my picture is so big. First time posting a picture, will make smaller next time. This is a scraplift, but I don't remember from where. If it was yours, Thank you. Also the brown is not supposed to be brown, I had changed it to dark purple, don't know what happened. Sorry

Oh, thank you for letting mine count. I do love the color scheme.

I need to dig out our pics from the Not So Scary party we attended a couple of years ago and do some scraplifting. You ladies have done an awesome job on the layouts, as always!!

Heather, thanks again for hosting this week!

Britt - I hope that you're feeling better. It's never fun to be sick, especially when it doesn't go away and they can't quite pinpoint what it is. And thanks for the adorable paper kit - it will be put to good use!

I've been bad about leaving love the past few weeks, so before more time goes by, here it is...

lamcnany - I don't see any brown, so it looks great to me! And I love the title and all of your sparkly circles. And welcome to the zany world of challenges! They're very fun and even more addicting!

Janis - I adore your Mickey ghost! And the paper with the haunted house silouette (sp?) is fantastic. Did you extract your title from the brochure? It's a nice touch.

18MAGIC - Great job with the extractions! They are so cute. And I like the way you put the small pic of the train station in, too. What a fun page to have in your scrapbook!

wenrob - What a lo! It's stunning. I especially like the orange glitter in the background. And what adorabel kids, too!

RRBB
- It took me a while to realize the green paper points matched up with the points on the triceratops. It takes me a while. And the circle is such a cool effect, especially with the journaling around it, and with all the nice bright colors.

MakingScrapbooks - I've got some pics like those, too - maybe I'll have to do some scraplifting. Humm... The lo & kit really works well. Your DS is a hoot! Nothin' like a runaway plastic pony, eh?

janette - What a nice and cherry lo! And I really like the way you worked your title. Why can't I ever think of doing something like that? Maybe because I wait until the end to do the title? It really is great!

Fran - The papers work great with your photos. The way you laid out your photos works well - and I'm assuming that the "upside down" one is supposed to be that way? Cute! I've only been on that ride once, so maybe next time. We spent too much time riding Soarin' & Test Track multiple times last trip. Very fun.

carolina girl - what a fun lo! The humor of ya'll in the photo really sets off the whole page. I love your use of the papers & elements. It's a great job.

I think that I've responded to everyone - if not, I'm sorry! Now I'm off to the kids school to drop off rice krispie treats for tomorrow's bake sale. Nothing like having a captive audience at a polling place, huh?

Great job, everyone. As usual! I just love these challenges!

Jan

Great job everyone.

Great pages everyone! :) It's fun to see all the different themes/layouts using the same colors.

Wow it feels like forever since I have posted any challenges or pages. :P I've been having issues with photobucket the last couple months so I haven't been able to upload anything. :( Finally today it let me upload my layouts. :) So without further ado here is my challenge layout. ;)

I'm A Dreamer - blue paper
A Halloween Nightmare - stitches

Ellie Lash: Boo - web, buttons, rib stitch
Birgit Kerr - Candygram Alpha
Ali Edwards - Stacked Date Brushes

Didn't quite get the colors right. I started out with the right ones on the page to work with, but I got the idea for the rose (cut out shapes from Britt's paper and then clipped a green and an originally orange paper to it...but used layer blending to get to the red rose) and didn't want to stop.

Paper in background is from Britt's Pirate Princess Kit and the papers used for the rose are from two of her other kits (Just Married Add On and Leave the World Behind)
Other Elements from Paint the Moon Designs' Chloe's Treasures
Fonts in title are Copperplate T Light, BixAntiqueScript (a Hallmark font) and McBoo (also a Hallmark font)

Some gorgeous pages ladies! I finally have something that qualifies!:cool1: (we have Tink and a Pirate happening here) It was hard not using staples, I'm a staple addict! (click for credits)
This is just gorgeous, Wen! Love the depth you achieved even with a black background!
