DIS Digi-Scrappers Challenge #12 7/2-7/9 -- UPDATED with WINNERS!

OK, I should have left the house about 20 minutes ago, but I really wanted to finish this and post it. So, I can't fully credit my LO right now, but I promise to do so when I get home tonight. Quick credits: Everything except the frame, wrap, and button are by Britt (including the template), and of course the jelly Mickey is by labdogs. The Halloween picture of Mickey is one of the very, very rare times I didn't use one of my own pictures, but the one I had was useless, so I had to use this one I saved online. I had such problems with my title, but I sort of cheated and scraplifted the idea of making it a sticker (I already did that for the rest of my title, but I didn't think of doing that for the jelly part!)

ETA, I've added all the credits now! Just click any of the images for the credits. :)

Now, there is lots of empty space on the 2nd page because when I print it, I'm going to add a Mickey that I made on the Cricut. I'll probably add journaling at that point, as well. I have a pic of a Mickey I've made before on the Cricut, so I made a mock-up of what that will look like:

kswm30b: Very cute! It would be neat to have the chef's hat coming out of the photo frame. Do you know what I mean? The page is really going to pop with the Cricut!

Jessica Thanks for hosting this week! And thank you so much for creating this gellies! They are perfect!
HayNay Welcome to the thread! Glad you have joined (you may see some of your work in my LO below!) Your designs are great!

Great LOs everyone! This is a fun challenge (well, they all have been fun!)

OK, now that I have seen my LO on the thread: I'm not sure what happened! It looks fine in my photobucket account, but here on the thread, the colors are not as bright and the words are strange. The colored squares are supposed to be a neon-like yellow and lime-green; this one looks dull and too shiny. The "who's the real" is supposed to be bright lime-green and without such a shadow.

I know that sometimes photobucket makes things look differently, but this time it is fine on photobucket, but not here. Oh well. Hopefully, it will be fine when I print my book (one of these days. . . )

Hi strangers!! I have come back from taking some time off, Well, not really crafty time off - i just got a Cricut Expression a couple weeks ago, so i have been consumed with that! But, I just printed out a bunch of lo's and it reminded me why i do this.. and i just needed that. :)

So, here is my lo for this challenge, Jess, LOVE those names, thank you so much! You did a great job!!!!

OK, I've uploaded my LO pages to scrapmatters, so I edited my last post so the images link to the credits.

sconnell & sleepingbean, thanks so much!!

Oh, what a neat idea! I'll definitely have to try that! I've been working on this LO for so long, I just couldn't play around with it anymore, you know? But I like that idea, I'll go back and try it in a few days. ;)

Hopefully I'll come back tomorrow to comment on all the LOs I haven't posted about, yet! Everyone's LO is so good!!

These are all so awesome this time, I just had to make the time to comment on them.... I see LOTS of scraplifts coming on!! LOL!!

Yzerbear -- LOVE the way you incorporated the autographs....I definitely want to do this with the pics I get on my next trip!

Susan -- Love the Polka dots... Love, love, love that Minnie alpha. Great pics too!

Sleepingbean -- Great cloud paper... You made that? Wow! And awesome photo warp. How creative!

BriarRose -- So pretty -- I just love the colors in that kit. The flower is fab. And what a sweet picture.

Terri -- I love all of the swirls... it really draws the eye to the middle of the page where the pictures are!

ngneer -- Love, love, love how you combined the papers and elements.... Love your title work!

BernieAnn -- That is absolutely adorable. Love the ricrac and the ribbon wrap... what a great picture!

Holy smokes!! I can't believe how many entries we had this time!! And they were all so fantastic.... Man -- we are getting GOOD!!! :woohoo:

You guys did an amazing job this week. :woohoo:

I haven't had much time to scrap:guilty: I did scraplift a combination between kswm's spectomagic layout and Fran's Fantasmic layout. I also have the one that I lifted from Caitsmama for Britt's scraplift challenge. I am going to start a scraplift thread and hope that some of you will join in and post the layouts that you have scraplifted!! I think it is a great way to compliment others - plus more layouts for us to admire!!

Your lifts turned out really good. Did you know that Cait's was a template from Sweet Shoppe Designs? I checked and you can still get it, I used it too... awesome template!! It's available at http://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/community/showthread.php?t=8153 . They have some wonderful templates for those challenges, I suggest getting bunches of them!

ETA apparently mine was a template from there too! lol how soon I forget! Mine was cookie # 38, but I added a couple extra pics to it for that fantasmic LO!

Fran,

Thanks for this info - I am still new to shopping - I am almost afraid to discover new sites - because then I spend more money!!!!! I thought that Digiscrapping was supposed to save me money!

I am actually working on a circular layout simliar to your safari one - was that a template too?

No, lol, but good to ask before going to all that work! I just drew circles, put them where I wanted to and made my own sort of template as I went along. Thanks for the complements, that AK one was one of my first digital LOs. :goodvibes

And I know about that shopping disease! My poor paypal account is so lonely... I haven't been putting things up on ebay to fund my scrap shopping habit lately! 3 more days til step son goes home and I get some peace and time to myself!

Ok, I was just folding laundry and thinking of you and I realized I had more then 1 circular AK Safari LO, one of them was a template, the other wasn't. It was an obscure blog I think I got it on, but I will look around for it. The first one was no template (and really old, see the lack of embellishing hehe) and the lower one was a template and I will report back if I can find it!

Thanks Christy! What a relief to know that it will print OK when I finally print my book. Whew! It's funny though because I am looking at my LO post on my laptop and the colors look OK; however, when I view it on my main computer, it doesn't. Strange.

Ok back again! haha I got the template eons ago as a freebie at the below site. There is a similar template in her store for $1.00, they are gone off the freebie page, which is huge!

Store link to similar template: http://boutique.digiscrap.ch/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=38

The site is French, but not too hard to find your way around.

Thanks Fran! Templates always save some time. I appreciate it!!
