poor you
rapid weight loss can lead to gall stones, i had mine removed when i had my gastric bypass, most people can stop taking insulin after a having a gastric bypass operation. good luck with the low fat diet. its almost as much as a pain as looking for low sugar. its amazing no artifical sweeteners can mean lots of sugar instead
i have lost 40 kilos since the 29th april down to 25 stone 6, i think i will miss my original target of 20 stone by 22nd of october. but have now heard thre words i thought i would never hear from a dieticain "eat more".
good luck all with the dieting

david

wow david, well done!
i was lucky:rolleyes: a band was never an option for me, but i did do the cambridge diet for 18months, off and on, and thats where the problems started...
ironically i have always dieted before going to disney, then let myself go, if you now what i mean, my on stupidity means im goign to have to watch what i eat, or live with the consequences, forever.
i have lost 17lb in 3 weeks prior to the op, i was so ill i couldnt keep anything in my system, and that was an eye opener.
i teach food technology in high school - and it is my personal mission to educate kids to the "hidden" effects of extreme dieting - i was genuinely happy when iwas bigger, i had more energy and more out going personality.
now i am concious that i have loads of lose skin etc.
why am i continuing to diet? for a bust reduction to remove bck problems, i must get my bmi to 25 before ill be put forward.
whatever you are losing weight for - please be senseable, i must be the only eprson on here that says 0.5lb per week, thats great- its controlled its sensible and its safe.
rant over

hey everyone, good luck for August. :cool1:

i didnt weigh in last week as i was away visiting relatives for a few days, decided to wait for this week. im sure it'll still show a gain but hoping its not too bad.

good luck everyone for ur next weigh ins.xx :yay:

I'll be back with you on the 24th with no doubt the task of trying to lose 9lbs holiday weight before the Girly Weekend less than 2 weeks later :rotfl2:

Have a good month everyone :thumbsup2

have a great holiday Mandy and enjoy putting on some weight ;)

Well I am back on the diet waggon after falling off it in a big way during July - although saying that I had only gained 1lb when I hopped on the scales on
1st August - I think I had reached 10 stone 8lbs before I fell off the waggon and I am now 10 stone 9lbs. I really thought I had put on a lot more than that. My objective is to get below 10 and a half stone before the end of August at the very least! Then I can work on getting to 10 stone before Xmas. ( and ultimately 9 and a half stone by this time next year)

Good luck everyone for the month ahead.

Sarah, glad to hear it wasn't as bad as you feared - welcome back and good luck this month :)

hi
i really need to lose 5 stone :scared1:to be the top end of right weight for my height omg that sounds really bad and scary when i say it out loud, but to be honest i would be happy to lose 3 stone i was comfortable at that weight. so im aiming for 3 stone and then see how i feel.

good luck for this week :thumbsup2

You can do it Kellie, you need to split it down into smaller targets, though, so the amount doesn't fase you - try thinking about losing a stone or 1/2 stone at a time. I find that works for me, setting myself smaller targets seems to make it more achievable - good luck :goodvibes

:lovestruccan i join in too?? please??
i have had quite a crap year, resulting in me having my gall bladder removed last week and having to let my tribe fly to eygpt without me, all of this is due to yo-yo dieting.
im now on a constant low fat diet for the rest of my life:eek:, and 1 complication of the removal is possible diabetes:scared1:
i have lost over a stone since it all "kicked off" 3 weeks ago, and now have to maintain that weight (im 12.2 now - at my heaviest i was 22 stone, see what i mean about yo-yo ing???)
i would like to get my BMI down to "normal" which means 16lbs to go for me...

as i am on a very restricted diet (again:rolleyes:) hopefully it will come off...
but i need all the help i can get:rotfl2:

Welcome aboard Tracy, hope you are feeling loads better now and good luck :goodvibes

I have lost ....0.5 lb, not much but it's a loss at least :woohoo: I just don't think I am going to be like 'posh spice' in 3 weeks time :lmao: oh well.

Andrea, well done - 1/2 lb is still a loss :thumbsup2

Me, I've stayed the same, which isn't too bad I suppose as it's my time of the month too. I've not cheated myself and done my classes this week, so hopefully next week there might be a change! Fingers crossed!

Good morning everyone. 1lb off for me bringing me back to 2 stone lost. I'm camping next weigh day so it'll be a 2 weeks weigh in next time. Good luck everyone.
