Hey all, I was accepted to be a contributor awhile ago and have written a couple articles and hit publish on the website, how do I know if they're getting through or to the right people? I wrote an article that I think they would like but I have no idea if they have received it. All help would be great!

I've written a couple articles. It isn't an immediate process, and not articles are published. I'm sure with so many articles being submitted they have to review each one, and then determine if they want to use it or not. I don't believe there is any way to see how far each article is in the process until it is published. I hope this helps, and have fun writing!

Did you two experience any delay in initial acceptance as a contributor? Or, for others, has anyone been rejected as a contributor?

Hijacking this thread a little bit but I thought it's along similar lines. I've been accepted as a contributor (so excited) and I've written a few articles. Do you know if we can find out from anyone on the DIS if there are any particular topics they'd like us to write about? Because I'm sure you'll all love my random thoughts, but if there's something particular being looked for, I could focus on that ;)

I know Pete mentioned some topics like DVC and DCL (can't remember the others right now) that he'd like to see articles on, but that was a long time ago, and don't know if that need still exists, especially because I have seen content focused on those things.

I know they have said in the past that dining reviews, DVC, DCL, and Disneyland articles they want since they have a lot of content about WDW. For me I write articles about a topic that pops in my head or a topic that works. I had an article published today in fact Disney Rumor Round Up July 2016. That is my 4th edition of Rumor Round up which tends to be a popular topic for me. I have also written articles about touring the parks as a Teen, and running runDisney events. I would say write what you know and like and then they will pick and choose which articles are needed.

You're an excellent writer, Ryan, can't wait to read your latest!

Related question: I received an email from Corey about a month ago saying I had been accepted as a contributor, and asked for a reply to answer a couple of questions. I replied, but never heard back with a login to Wordpress. I check my spam, so it's not in there. I'm sure they are all extra busy with the Mega Meet coming up, so I don't want to be a pest. Did those of you who contribute receive a login within a short amount of time?

I don't remember exactly how long it was to hear back after giving them my Paypal info, but it was a little more than a month - keep an eye out for an email from Will Perry, as he's who I was in contact with over setting up Wordpress.

I've done two. (I keep telling myself i'll do mroe but then just pass out after work rather than writing) it took a couple months to get published.
Also does anyone know how I can update my paypal info with them?
