Currently trying to sign up to become a contributor for the site, as Pete mentioned that they were looking for some additional articles in this week's podcast. However, once I follow the link to sign up to become a contributor, it leads me to a blank page that doesn't load anything: http://wdwinfo.com/dis-contributors-form.htm

Curious if this may be a glitch and/or error, or if the page was perhaps moved. Any information would be great!

Thanks so much.

It looks like it's working now, maybe try again? I just clicked the link and there's a form to fill out.

Which DIS team member is overseeing the contributor approval process? I was approved a year ago, but had a few questions that I submitted via email and never got a reply. Life has slowed down and I'd like to finally contribute something, but I need some information, and just need to know where to direct my questions.

Corey is. I have had three articles posted.

You type an article about anything Disney-related, then tape it to Pete's front door. Be sure to knock and run away so that he can see it when he answers the door. But don't stay on the porch, you don't want to come across as desperate.
oooohhhhh!!! that's where I've been going wrong... I've been sliding it under his front door with a note on the front saying "Read me... pretty please"

I'm interested in registering as a DIS Contributor, and I found this thread as I was looking for information about the process. I have a question regarding the write up sample. I don't have much written content online, other than a personal blog that hasn't been maintained and was not specific to Disney. Should the write up sample be specific to the content you want to write about for the DIS (for example, Disneyland), or is it just any good sample of your writing?

I'm happy to write up a Disney blog post on my personal blog and then use that as the writing sample, but my understanding is that it would then not be eligible to be an article here as it would no longer be exclusive to the DIS. I would appreciate any insight! Thanks!

Personally, I didn't submit a writing sample with my application (The only online piece I had was a campus piece I did back in high school), and it wasn't a hindrance to my application. I'd just say if you are comfortable with your writing and want them to see what you've done, attach it.

Best of luck, and I look forward to your articles :)

Thanks! It figures that as soon as I post this, only *then* do I see that there isn't a "required" asterisk by the writing sample URL. I think I'll just go fill out that form now, lol :)

Thanks for asking this question as I was wondering the same thing.

I've been thinking of submitting an article about our first trip to Disneyland (ie, a WDW family does Disneyland - were our perceptions met with reality?) or my recent trip to Hong Kong Disneyland

I think ya should, I'd love to read them! :)

Here is a quick question, hopefully I am in the right place, I was wanting to sign up to apply to be a contributor. Sadly they are no longer accepted applications, does anyone know when it might open back up? If you can let me know that would be amazing!

It all depends on when they need more. That could be in a month or that could be never.

Pete had mentioned on a recent show (maybe last week's show?) that the DIS was looking for writers for Disneyland content. I submitted the form, and I got the automatic reply back, but haven't heard anything since. How long does it usually take to hear back? I was under the impression that writers didn't need to have a sample URL to submit, as it's not marked required on the form and they only referenced video contributors being required to have a submission on the podcast. If I do need to submit a sample, I'm happy to write one up and resubmit. I have a bunch of Disneyland ideas that I'd love to put on "paper."

Thanks in advance!
