Okay, I know I'm probably getting like way above myself right now and probably just need to sit tight but can someone explain to me about the payment for the convention? I mean, is there a deposit we put down when we book our events or is it all paid for up front??? If there is a deposit when does the balance get paid? I may not need to know this but when we book a room do we pay for the whole thing up front or do we deposit and then pay gradually or pay when we arrive? Is there anything else that is paid for or is the price that we pay inclusive of meals that Linda posted in the post a bit ago and special events or are all those separate? I've got to pay for this trip on my own and need to have an idea of what I need to start socking away!!!

Thanks for anything you can tell me since I didn't follow it that much for DIS-CON 1.

99, in the past, we made a deposit and then I believed we paid in increments.. we had due dates that each amount was due on.. I believe we paid a certain amount for the deposit and then either we paid 1/3, 1/3/ 1/3 or it was 1/2 and 1/2.. I hate this aging thing that I cannot remember exactly but you get the gist.

Also, if there were meals included, like Dining around the world, the meal was included.. Special character breakfasts included in the package included breakfast. I am sorry if this sounds silly but I am trying to think of a way to explain it. Dessert illuminations and private viewing of Fantasmic were dessert parties that were included in your price of the package.. so just desserts there.

When you saw that we went to Jellyrolls or Kimonos or any other extra, they were in fact extras paid for out of pocket not included in the price of the package.. Hope this helps.. Please feel free to email me or icq me if you have any other questions.

If Disney is going to be booking the hotel reservations, I would imagine you'll have to pay around $200 when you make the reservation, and then have the remainder paid off 30 days before arrival. As far as the DIS-Con events part, I would imagine you'll have to make some sort of deposit, and then the remainder paid in 2 payments. At least that's the way we did it last year,

Thanks to both of you...this does really help me out some. I totally understand what you were saying Marsha...thanks for explaining it, I know hard to explain in typing!! :)

Hi, Chris! You have to be careful asking questions-we're all so anxious to help the new attendees that everyone jumps to answer! :D ;) We paid a small deposit last year to mark our spot for the convention. Then we had to make 2 additional payments (like Steve said), the final payment due about 2 months before the actual convention. If Disney is going to book our rooms, I don't know how that would work. Don't know if it would be just like booking a regular ressie or not. We'll have to wait and see for that. I'm pretty sure I'm using points and trying to stay at the BWV. (actually, some of us are hoping to be fortunate enough to get into the new BCV!) I've been told it may be very hard for me to get in there. (oh, help-I'm so confused) And, like Marsha said, the extra-curriculars were our responsiblity. We did Jellyrolls, Kimono's, the tea at the Grand Floridian (which is absolutely wonderful and I hope, hope, hope we're doing that again) For those that took the Keys to the World tour, that was extra. I would like to see some sort of spa morning, which would be an extra fee, too. It all sorts itself out as we get closer. We all ran like clockwork once we got there! :D :D Check out Patinmn's itinerary. (there's that word again!) It will be a great way for you to see what we did last year. I think the link is still there in his signature. :D :D Oh, I'm so glad you're going to be there!!! :D :D :D

Those of us that had the events-only package had a different payment schedule. We paid a $50 deposit at registration and the balance was due Oct. 1st.

Other things to budget extra for include MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional dinner package - if interested.

Or, if you prefer Chris, you could just send your total amount to me!!!!!!:D :D :smooth:

Just joking!!!!
