Chris- I know how you feel! Sometimes I think I should list this as my career! :rolleyes2 I hope the docs get to the bottom of your problem soon and it's an easy fix. :flower3:

suz- My first computer crashed from something too. I lost all kinds of things... pics were the worst thing to lose.:sad2: My youngest dd was so upset when I told her about how evil people use spyware and viruses... :maleficen

Ann- I know practically nothing about computers! :rotfl: I searched on Google and found the simplest instructions I could as to how to remove it. Some of those computer geek sites are sooooo complicated!
I wish I could be staying at the Dolphin again! They have great rates all around Dec., except for my dates! I'm trying CSR this time...

GAGWTA! :cold: Boy, it's a real winter day here, been snowing all night.

Know what you guys mean, I feel like going to doctors could be my second career, LOL. I have so many doctors these days I don't even know which one to call when I have a problem anymore!

Laura, very impressive! :cheer2:

Ann, this is for you (from our October stay)! :sunny: :cloud9: You guys are all so lucky to be going to Disney now - so beautiful for Christmas!

Have a nice day everyone!

GAGWTA!

Bumping to wish Suzanne and Cepmom good luck tomorrow - will be interested to hear how you make out.

On a lighter note (speaking of doctors) I did my part to amuse the medical establishment yesterday. Had my staples removed - while getting down from the examining table, I glanced down and said "OMG, look at my feet!" I was wearing my beloved Crocs. Now, Crocs are the most goofy looking cartoon shoes under normal conditions, but accidently wearing one black & one navy blue Croc makes one look like a total doofus. :rotfl:

Then I had to show the office staff why we were laughing so hard...they want me to wear the "matching pair I have at home" to the next appt.

I won't be getting dressed in the dark again anytime soon... :rotfl2:

Yes, me too! I will be thinking of you guys.

Thank you all so much. :grouphug: I plan to take an Ativan to help me sleep & maybe several to get me through the appt. Cep I'll be thinking of you too.

Chris I hope you find out about the headaches soon and it's something minor.

Denise in your defense I've seen the Croc's & the black & navy look very similar. I once went out with two different boots on. Similar beiges but still noticeably different. Not so bad right? Except one had a spiked heel & one had a chunky heel. How the heck I didn't notice, or fall flat on my face from lack of balance I'll never know. :rotfl: Maybe we need to add a "Do I match?" thread so we can give each other a quick once over before we stroll our way out into public. :rotfl2:

thanks for all the well wishes everyone.

Suzadrew ~ good luck tomorrow....I will be thinking of you. :grouphug:

Chris ~ thinking of you also...hope you get to the bottom of your headaches.

Denise ~ I'm really not laughing at you, but that is hysterical!! :rotfl:
I would totally do something like that!! I have 3 pairs of the same style sneaker, but in different colors. One day I am sure I will go out with one blue and one pink :rotfl:

Too funny about the Crocs :rotfl2: I had a boss who had a habit of dressign in the dar...he'd mismatch socks (one black, one navy...why they weren't attached in pairs int he drawer I have no clue LOL) ..and he'd even come in with the jacket of one dark suit and the pants of another. I once grabbed navy pantyhose thinking it was black...and wore it to work with a black/grey/white tweedy skirt and back sweater...oh the HORROR when I got out of the car into the sun while walking in and glanced down!

cep and Suz...wishing you all the best...hugs and prayers for tomorrow.

Linda...thatnks for the pic! :teeth: I can't wait. But I always try to keep myself from being too excited...when I have major trips with lots of pre-planned activities set up I get this awful dread that if I let myself get too excited something will happen to prevent me from going :confused3 Like I'm going to jinx my trip. SO...I'm letting myself be a little excited and blameing it on Christmas excitement in general. SO I won't jinx my trip because Christmas is comeign anyway. I know, I know, I am a psych case, what can I say?? ;)

 ~~~***GAGWTA sistas***~~~ :sad2:

I'm sick. I have picked up a virus from Shelby. Sore throat, achy... Danny took her to the pediatrician Sunday morning and the quick strep test was negative (Thank God!) so I know I don't have a strep infection. I leave Friday morning for WDW. Need to call the GI doc. I think it's only bad if I get a fever, (because I'm immune suppressed) but we'll see...
The girls and I took a trip to Disney in Jan. and the 3 of us got the flu before we left. We started antibiotics the day before we left and we managed to make it. I don't know if I should book another trip during cold/ful season... :crazy2:

cepmom and suzadrew I'm especially thinking of the two of you today and sending prayers and pixie dust... :wizard:

:grouphug:

Oh darn it Laura :grouphug: ...I'm sending healing P and PD for you along with my thougths for cepmom and suzadrew.
Have you tried that Airborne stuff that they say to take at first sign of a cold/bug and/or during the course of it? I guess it's herbs/supplements and some people swear by it. Anyway...you know the drill...rest(yea, right) and fluids....

GAGWTA!!

Hi everyone! I haven't been around much lately - went to a wedding at the Grand Floridian, back Monday night late, and yesterday was laundry, laundry, laundry.

Anyway, this morning is my lumpectomy. I'm still feeling very positive about everything, but there was an 80% chance it wasn't cancer and it was. And from what I read, there's a 50/50 chance the diagnosis could change after surgery.

So, please send some positive energy my way that my diagnosis stays as good as it is.

I'm going to have some time now to read and catch up on everyone's story. GAGWTA!!

Oh my goodness MNSusan....I certainnly will add you to the prayer list today. Wow...three of us here with procedures today. Keep us posted ladies!

Busy day for our sisters here, good luck, MNSusan, Suzadrew, and cepmom.
One of my close friends is having a hysterectomy today as well, Lana.

Good luck and prayers for all.

Laura, I got sick right before our Mardi Gras trip way back in February this year. I missed the Bacchus parade, but I rested, took Airborne every 3 hours and used Zicam. I also remember lots of vitamin C and Coldeze cough drops.
It was as if I was remade. The secret with Airborne is to anticipate the need. I start on it even before I come down with something, if I think I have been exposed.

Sam's carries Airborne now so I am buying it in multi packs.

Tamiflu works kind of like that as well. DD10 had the flu in January, the pediatrician gave me prescriptions for the entire family. Her case was not too bad, I never got the flu and DD15's case was mild. I took it before symptoms, DD15 right after symtoms surfaced (it was expensive so I tried to fill the presecriptions as needed).

To everyone having tests & procedures today, Cepmom, Susan & Lana, I wish you all the best.

I just wanted to stop in quick & say hi. I'm back from the hospital and it's over. I can't say I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as bad as the terror I created in my head. I really did think of you guys a lot while I was there though. I guess now it's just a waiting game.

I'm going to lay down for a bit, I'm just very emotionally drained & a little sore. I hope everyone has a great day.

GAGWTA!

Just wanted to let you know that those of you who are having procedures today are in my thoughts and prayers. Suzadrew, glad it's over for you and that it wasn't too bad. Get some rest and keep us updated. :grouphug:

suz ~ glad everything went well for you today. Get some rest and I hope you feel better

Thank to everyone for keeping me in your thoughts.
I just got back from my mammogram ~ they had to take 6 shots of my right breast (ouch!) and the Dr said she didn't see anything abnormal there. What a relief. I do have to say that while the tech was wonderful ~ she was constantly reassuring me mot to worry or stress, what would happen next etc, the Dr was a complete witch. The area that the tech had to keep retaking shots of is the area in which the cyst was found in 2002 (she made a pen mark on my breast) When I asked her about the lump/cyst on the right that had the ultrasound in 2002, she didn't have a clue. I just wanted to be sure that the cyst/lump was still the same ~ I know the cyst is normal, I guess I just thought by her not seeing anything abnormal, she could have meant the cyst was there, just nothing else abnormal. She aked me if I was uncomfortable with her telling me everything was fine. Uhmm yeah...I was secretly hoping there would be a problem  She made me feel really stupid. She finally got out the ultrasound records, reviewed them and said nothing to worry about.

Anyway ~ glad that's over with. Again ~ thanks to all of you that were so helpful.

Keeping all of you in my prayers :grouphug:

Suzadrew, glad it's behind you. Hope you get some rest.

Cepmom, awesome news!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Oooooh, I just got a new tag. Cool!!!!!

That was from the thread where you copied questions and inserted your answers to tell about yourself.

When I was 5, I was too young to start public school in Texas (my birthday is Sept. 9th). My parents knew I was ready for school so they put me in a church school just for kindergarten. For the Christmas play I was given the part of the STAR of Bethlehem. I thought it was the most important role of all.

Great memory, I am baffled as to why it came to mind.

Don't know why the tag fairy liked that one, but I'm loving it.
