I don't like posts that start out: "Convince me that..."

Yeah, that bugs me, too. The other similar one is: "Tell me about..."

The people who start threads like that probably don't mean it to sound the way it does. To me, it sounds too much like an order.

Posts that are in all caps or huge font - it gives the impression that the poster is yelling

Haha! I KNEW someone would pick up on that! I didn't know how to fix it!

I don't think there is a way to fix it. If it happens to me it's usually because there's problems with the website like the dreaded "server is busy" problem.

People that type all their posts like this...no punctuation at all...just dots...I mean how old were we in school when we learned about punctuation....come on now...

Also people that type sentences in a list.
You know when it's not in paragraph form.
It just seems like work when you post something this way.
You know what I mean?

Paragraph breaks are also a good thing!!

These thing don't "ruin my day," just cause a little now and then.

I made friends with someone on a different forum who used elipses when she posted. I always thought she must talk like that too, but then we started talking on the phone and she sounded quite normal. I teased her about that all the time.

The list sentence thing, I feel like I'm reading a poem.

People that type in teeny tiny font with bright colors that you can hardly see.

I hate it when people type really rambling sentences full of "speling" errors and with hardly any punctuation at all and with no paragraph breaks so not only does it hurt your eyes to try to read it without any breaks but it hurts your head trying to figure out just what the heck the OP is trying to say.

I also hate it when people say "putting on my flame suit." I don't know why it bugs me, but it does.

Finally, I hate it when people say really mean and spiteful things but then put something all happy and hippy-dippy after it like or It's even worse when they say "have a magical day" after it, too. It's so obnoxious!

ITA, if you read several pages of posts and what you want to say has already been said 10 times, why post? Yes I am doing it with this post, but it is a peeve thread so I think it is okay.

It really bugs me when this is used to imply that a post is stupid. That used to be one of my favorite smilies but not anymore.

Gee wiz, I said I would OPEN the thread, and read ONLY the OP's comment or question and THEN say I would like to comment to myself and THEN look up and see there are 10++ pages of comments........I did NOT say that I was scrolling thru 10++ pages of comments....
