Directions from I-75 south

Coming from I-75 south I take the FL turnpike to I-4 south .Then I usually take exit 67 towards epcot center dr then to world dr. Anyone have a better route that may be more 5th wheel friendly? Seems I try a new way every year but just havent found one I wanted to stick with . I just hate paying all the tolls but dont want to drive 50 miles out of the way to avoid them .

Take the SR-429-TOLL exit, EXIT 267A, toward APOPKA/TAMPATake the SR-429-TOLL S exit toward CR-535
Merge onto FL-429 TOLL S/DANIEL WEBSTER WESTERN BELTWAY (Portions toll).
EXIT 8 toward DISNEY WORLD
merge onto WESTERN WAY
turn left on W BUENA VISTA DR
this way has 2 tolls but its fastest with less traffic

I cant recall the last time I drove I-4, I avoid it like the plague that it is, too darn many tourists !

We took this route pulling our 37 ft TT and we were virtually alone on 429 and Western Way. It's a great route.

This is the route we have taken for the past 3-4 trips to the fort. The road is in excellent shape plus no traffic. The tolls are not that expensive. We have a 38 ft class A and pull a jeep behind it (5 axles) and I believe the toll was $2.50. Sure alot cheaper than fighting the traffic on I-4 through Orlando !!!

Caution - the Western Way Road speed limit changes very quickly and is a known speed trap.

Using 429 to exit 8 looks to be longer than exit 19 onto 535. Is 429 to exit 8 better than exiting onto 535?

The toll on Western Exp. was $2.50 It was $7.50 on the Turnpike.

We took 535 a couple of times for other things - there is alot more traffic on that road then on Western Exp.

If you are real cheap like me, take the third exit off the Turnpike which is for Hwy 27 south for 27.5 miles and then take Hwy 192 east over to World Drive. Yeah you have a few red lights and some traffic, but it is not bad and there are a couple of grocery stores on Hwy 192 before you get to World Drive.

We just got back yesterday - although we were not able to stay at the Fort, we went anyway. Kind of a last minute "celebration" and could not get a site.
I know, I know - please forgive us..!

We stayed in CBR - but we kept saying all week "it's just not the same" - nothing is better than the Fort!

Take the tolls roads, it is worth it - especially when pulling.

Another secret - purchase a SunPass..! I did and it works like a charm..

Seems like there is always something to grab at Walmart before we get there. Neat to come in the "front door" for the kids too.
