Direct Purchase - CC Payment Posting

So bought BWV 100 pts last week direct for the incentives. Used our Disney VISA for the lion's share and another VISA for the remaining balance. Both charges showed up as Pending and were noted in the contract. eDocs final signature completed and returned to us a few days ago.

Checked our CC accounts and both charges have dropped off, which usually happens to Pending charges which haven't been finalized. I've already banked my points and booked for next year.

I'm thinking that after the 10 day Cooling Off period is done, DVD will recharge the CC for the original amount. Anyone have any first hand experience with this? Or did I just get a whole lot of Pixie dust (in my dreams)!

That’s interesting. I bought 200 BWV last week. Btw congrats to both of us. My credit card is already charged but I split in 3 payments about 2 weeks apart. Maybe that’s why. I need United miles bad so I urged them to charge my United Club card before my closing date which was yesterday. And they did. Maybe that’s why.

I've never paid the full amount upfront, but my deposits have usually appeared on my Disney VISA within 3-4 days after the initial charge showed up.

Just as an FYI, when putting on your Disney Visa card, you get 6 months 0% financing. Also, Disney WILL allow you to spread payments over 90 days, which will effectively give you 9 months at 0% financing, if this is something you want to take advantage of. Just call your guide and ask if you can change the payment schedule.

Sounds odd. My down payment and fees went on my Disney Visa within a few days, but never dropped off and reappeared. I even added to my contract before closing and they just added the difference to the same credit card and it posted as normal.

I’ve never had a direct point purchase drop off. When I’m buying a large number of direct points, which exceed my credit limit, Disney is always very accommodating when I want to max out the card, wait a few days for the charge to post, pay it off, then repeat the process until I’ve paid the entire price.

UPDATE: The CC charges finally reappeared and are finalized. The Developer Credit of $1,000 also posted. Exactly 11 days for contract initiation, so my guess is DVD held off finalizing CC postings until after the 10 day cooling down period.

Oh and I also received a blue DVC Member Backpack with 2 DVC Member fridge magnets! That was nice.
