We bought resale, 180 points at BCV. I wanted to get that place and so this was the only way to get them.
After reading the previous posts I do not believe that DVC will become a zero-value property because of a follow-up poster, Disney is a huge target for family vacations. My experience looking at some of the older resorts is that they are kept up nicely. Sure, the furniture gets older and they don't always replace it, but you can't compare that to a brand new resort because you pay more for it.
I think prices are on the rebound. I bought in December of 2009 and my contract came with an additional 180 2009 points and 15 2008 points (March UY) along with all of 2009 & 2010 MFs.
The main thing is that I'm happy with the purchase, with my home resort, and we'll have it for many years to come.
