Am I delusional to think we could get for around £400 pp?

I know that's obviously much cheaper than summer months, but we paid that price a couple of years ago-and would really love those prices again:rotfl:

I think that's a bit ambitious too - when are your dates or are you just looking for the best options?

I just liked the idea of telling dh they were around £800 rather than over a thousand:rotfl2:

Dates are on or around 4/3/15-returning a week or so later-depending obviously on availability and price.:surfweb:

you get indirect flights through PHL with US Airways for £580

and I just priced £535pp direct MAN->MCO, out on 4/3, in on 11/3 with VA.

Has to be direct.

When I've played around previously-I found prices around £500 pp mark-
I was obviously being far too optimistic to find £400-£450 ish range.:guilty:

Netflights have the VA flights at £514pp, probably a little cashback thru Quidco

If you have 4,000 VA airmiles then Miles and Money fare = GBP 893.38 + 4,000 miles = £446.69pp

Low season you could possibly get a better deal by waiting for a sale but you won't save a fortune (if anything)

I can find £426 for your start date for two weeks indirect and £514 direct with Virgin. That's only £180 difference. Not much really. I'd kill to fly for £515 direct we have to go in August!!!!

Thanks Wayne.

I intend to book within next couple of weeks-I'm too much of a worry wart to try and hang out for any really, really cheap prices.
No va miles unfortunately-have to use real money.:upsidedow

Just priced up our dates in August, 3 adults in economy GBP 4,173.99:rotfl2:

I have the miles (about 200,000 of them) but still only brings it down to GBP 3,741.99 + 6,000 miles

I won't be flying VA next year. I can fly business class from Dublin from £866pp

I got my flights direct from Man for November this year in the sale at £440.

So if you wait you might get a deal :) but I had to take he late flight out & the late flight back, and I was flexible on my days. It was £100 more to fly on the Saturday, so I'm flying on a Thursday :) x

Yes I looked at the Dublin flight but business class was way more than that for our dates when I looked. Anyway, for me , I'd rather spend the money and go direct, PE, with Virgin. I accept it's very expensive, even using all my miles which I did. But the convenience is more important to me than the money at the moment. That's about my personal circumstances though. Indirect is a hassle for us though so I'm more than prepared to just spend the money.

We paid £1.9k for 4 of us with Virgin from Manchester for March next year, cheapest we have ever paid for flights :-)

We must have been very lucky as late on a Tuesday evening back in August we were checking prices and was seriously looking to book by flying indirect through KLM from a local airport at about £420 for a March departure.

But thankfully we stumbled on a Netflight offer through Kayak for a Virgin direct flight from Manchester to MCO at £369.74 per seat which included a credit card fee. Quidco cash-back tracked at £4.71 per seat, so £365 direct, best cash price we've had for a few years

Virgins price on that same day in August in O class was £434, while today the same seats are quoted at £535.

Best indirect out - direct home I could find today was £479 through Expedia via Kayak.

Flight 1 - Virgin Atlantic – Flight 3046 Operated by Aer Lingus For Virgin Atlantic 06:45 Wed, 4 Mar Manchester, arrive 07:40 LHR London.

Flight 2 - Delta – Flight 19 depart 10:10 Wed, 4 Mar LHR - arrive 20:24 Wed MCO. Travel time 15h 14m with 4-hour stop over in Detroit.

Flight 3 - Virgin Atlantic – Flight 76 - departs 19:45 Wed, 11 Mar MCO arrive 07:35 Thu, 12 Mar Manchester - Travel time 7h 50m

Just checked it on Expedia and the price changed to £488 so possible not worth all the extra travel time and changes for a £46 saving per seat.

Hope you find a better price soon.....
