Direct Add On Now 25 pt Min on all Resorts!

Would you consider 50 CCV resale for almost the same price while using Mason to put the entire thing on a CC? It does double the dues though 🤣
No probably not. My thinking is that I can use the 25 pointer to keep my direct benefits if I decided to sell off all but one of my VDH contracts. No plans on selling, just a back pocket option.

OH you have a 125 point VDH contract? That makes a big difference!
So in the future if we decide to vacation at Disney less then I could have around 150 at DLR and 150 at WDW and keep my blue card. This sounds very reasonable right? I think I will talk my husband into agreeing with my reasoning... even if it a takes a couple months.

Edit to add: I completely forgot I have 150 WDW in ROFR. So I would have 150 Crescent Lake, 150 MK and 150 DLR. Glad I tried out that reasoning on you guys before my husband :scared:

That sounds like a nice plan. Maybe BWV will expire by the time you want to slow down with Disney trips so it's a moot point!

Wait, wouldn't the 100 CCV and a 25 direct add-on only be 125?

Also, are your CCV points in the same UY as VDH? I forget 🙈

Yep. You are right. I’d have 125 at CCV. Maybe you sold me subliminally with that 50 resale CCV scenario.

My CCV and VDH are all in the same UY luckily. I bought a tiny direct VGC with this same goal in mind but then I realized my VGC is a separate UY and keeping it the same year as my other VGC was more important.

Multiple UYs, PITA

Gotcha!

25 CCV and 125 VDH in the same UY makes it easy for the direct benefits so that is still a good idea.

Wait do all (or at least 150) of my direct points have to be in the same UY to be Y card eligible?

How about some LV luggage to take on a trip with new DVC points 🤔

I mean, they’ve partnered with Supreme, it’s only a matter of time until we get a LV x DVC collaboration.

Yes, it goes by membership so the UY and deeded names matter. You can have multiple home resorts all titled to the same people in the same UY totaling 150 direct which is fine, but once you change names or UYs each membership is considered for eligibility.

For example, if someone had 100 resale points in an Oct UY and another 100 resale points in a Dec UY and purchased 75 direct points with an Oct UY and another 75 direct points with a Dec UY neither the Oct nor the Dec membership would be eligible for member benefits.

Could you imagine a Mickey monogram collection!? The Disney tax on LV would be insane. Maybe a Club 33 exclusive 🤣

Good to know. I currently have 200 in one UY and 150 (divided 50/100) in another, but was thinking of picking up 25-50 in yet a 3rd year (I have 4, oops)…sounds like I should focus on the UY with 150 in case I ever decide to sell part of that 150. Thank you for the warning.

Honestly, I’m shocked DLR didn’t release a Club 33 high end designer collaboration line for the 70th anniversary — they should hire you!

I mean, that’s 1.5 direct points right there. 🤣

At least the LV bag has lower annual dues. 🤣

You guys are still early in life right? I have a miniature museum of LV and Ferragamo bags that sit there in dust bags on a shelf 350+ days a year (since having kids and working from home)…you know what I always use to the max? Our DVC points.

Back on topic…If they were to offer BCV under $200, I’d snap up 25-50 BCV in a heartbeat, even though I have no need for direct points….It’s roughly equivalent to $130 with 24, 25, 26 stripped. 🤪

😂 We are still early in life even though it doesn't always feel like it. I need to get you in contact with my wife so she can hear that LV bags and Hermes and whatever won't bring her happiness 🤔. Kidding kidding, for all I put her through she deserves it and she's never been the type to be extremely materialistic so I'm grateful she's let me buy the amount of DVC points we have instead of buying designer clothes/bags with it

Seems like these small contracts would be a good deal for adding on 2042 resorts as you can just hold it to expiration and not worry about ever selling it given closing costs probably eat up a lot of their value at resale

Honestly, I am very glad I married a middle class girl who has never needed those type of things for validity and ego…. she just won’t drive a car that isn’t made in Germany or Sweden…. 🤣

Everyone has their things….

Can you add on 25 to a resale and get direct member benefits?
Unfortunately not. But if you had 125 already that were direct you can get benefits by adding a new 25 point contract at any resort doesn't have to be the one that you have your 125 at, but it does have to me the same UY
