Just wanted to start a new thread to talk about the new minimum add on is 25 points for all resorts! Buying and using credit card bonus sign ups and/or 0% offers makes this a pretty sweet option for direct points.

I had to head over and do the calculations and was shocked to see CCV base is more than RIV, VDH, and CFW!

Thanks @Tatebeck for the idea on a new thread.

I added this on the other thread, but this is very tempting for me at CCV as my contract is a tad short for my usual trips there now that we’re doing more 1BRs:

25pt add on, with an August UY and now in July you get all your 2024 points…

I’ve been hunting for a 50pts CCV but they’re always stripped and priced around $150.

Yeah it’s still cheaper in theory with resale, but once you account for a credit card SUB, things look pretty good.

Yes, they allow you to bank even if you’re past your deadline, so the best time is right at the end of the UY.
Amazing. Also whew! I was thinking I had just a few days to act!

Edit to add: I am not that crazy to just buy today but happy that I’m not against a deadline of end of month to decide for DEC UY

Delta Gold Card waives the fee for the first year. Earns 80,000 points with a $2,000 purchase. Even if valued at just 1 cent each that's still $800. On 25 points that is a discount of $32 per point in points gotten back....

ETA: And with such a small spend you may be able to double dip and open 2 cards (this and another card or 2 spouses both getting this card) and hitting them both

Since it’s only 2k spend I’d ask for a delay close and get another new card to stack the bonus offers.

Just saw the eta. Don’t forget to also refer your spouse for even more points!

I actually adore my Delta points and recently just ran out.

The Amex Gold Business has 150,000 MR with 6 months of 0% APR. the spend requirement is $15k, so you will need some other spending during the 3 months. It’s a fantastic offer if you can get it.

I was using it for my current PVB purchase, but I might get one for my wife now 🤣

I love love my gold biz I got mine when I bought my VDH. We eat out more than I’d like to admit so it saves me so much money.

I just had the biggest 🤯🤯. The $20 a month free from office supply stores getting a Disney GC pays for the dues on the 25 points!

I'm glad that I don't *need* points or a new credit card right now. I have to admit, though, that suddenly Riviera and the Cabins at FW are asking me if I would like stay a couple nights every once in a while. 🤣
