Direct Add On Availability

I have been researching DVC for some time now and am considering doing a hybrid of resale and direct. The main reason is to maintain the member benefits with direct purchase with Disney. What DVC resorts can you purchase a 25 point add on AFTER purchasing a resale contract? As an example if I bought VGF resale can you do a 25 point add on with Disney direct?

Really, any of them. I believe VGF and VGC are the hardest to do small add-ons, however.

VGF is VERY difficult to get direct...no matter the number of points you want. You really have to luck into some points that Disney has ROFRed or someone has defaulted on.

We inquired about a direct VGF purchase back in early May and was told that they didn't have anything and there was no waitlist. About a month later our guide called us with all the points and more that we wanted. To bad for them, we had started a resale purchase. So just call them up and let them know your interested, I'm sure they will come up with some sooner than later.
