Ok, I have got a couple of days off so the wife can order me round, I just dont get enough of it during the weekend.

I am cleaning the cars today, a proper clean, where I get all of the Opal Fruits (NO, they are bloody Opal Fruits!, dont get me started on Marathons) out of the gaps in the car.

The sun is shining and I am playing, what I believe to be one of the greatest albums of all time, and directly responsible for the CD format being so successful.

Dire Straits, Brother In Arms. Mark Knopfler, the man is a legend, up there with the likes of Clapton.

The kids come running over the the car at the same time the wife pulls on the drive (in another spotlessly cleaned car, Im not showing off, its a S reg fiat) they all bombard me, "Turn off that crap Steve (Jac says)" "Dad, thats just embarassing"

I started on my "This is a classic album, that sold multi million copies and stayed at number one in the uk and us for over a year....." when they all dissapeared, muttering

I was appalled, Come on, S Club Seven who in the hell...........

Oh dear.

So am I on the right track if my kids can spot a Rush track from a couple of bars? That they can sing "Smoke on the water" word perfect and my 9 yr old's christmas present is a trip to see Motorhead this November? Don't get me wrong, my daughter listens to some bloomin' awful R'n'B and pop rubbish but she also loves proper rock.
