Dip recipes

BLT dip

1 cup mayo
1 cup sour cream
1 lb cooked bacon
1 med tomato, seeded and chopped

Serve on toast cut into triangles. YUMMY!!!!

This dip is SUPER easy to make, but I keep getting requests to bring it for parties :thumbsup2

1 jar of Tostitoes Medium Salsa (you can bump it up and use Hot, but I recommend against using the Mild as it's just too mild)

2 of the medium containers of Philadelphia Cream Cheese

Blend and refridgerate

The thickness of this dip can vary since each jar of salsa varies in how juicy/chunky it can be. I usually just buy an extra small container of cream cheese and that way can add more if it turns out too runny.

I think the trick of this dip is that it tastes WAY more complicted then it actually is...not sure why, but most people think it has more ingrediants than it does :confused3

1 block of cream cheese softened
1 jar of green olives with pimento (spanish olives) coarsely chopped

Mix both together with a little bit of the olive juice to make it creamy and serve with celery.

We have this at every holiday

Someone asked for a low cal dip recipe. Salsa is my favorite. Some of the recipes on this thread sound fabulous, but I can only imagine the calories. Another fairly low cal dip is bean dip...add salsa to taste (usually about one part salsa to two parts beans) to a can of refried beans and small can of chopped ortegas...heat and eat...good because it is filling.

8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
can of diced green chilis
can of dried beef (chopped)

Mix together, and cook for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. This mixture can be cooked in a bread bowl.

Serve with crackers (ritz, sociables, or wheat thins).

I forgot about this one. A woman I worked with used to make this dip for every gathering and it was a favorite. I hate olives and would never even touch them if they are on a tray, but I can't get enough of this :confused3.

Cheesy Chili dip.

1 can Hormel canned chili without beans (with beans if you like)
1 lb. velveeta

Put in a microwave safe container. Microwave until cheese is melted and stir until chili is incorporated.

I serve it with tortilla chips.
