Having avoided needing glasses longer than anyone else in my family, ok maybe it was denial, I have been finding that I have been having trouble focusing. My FIL, who wears tri-focals btw, suggested using the diopter adjustment. I had never considered this before since I have only recently noticed this problem. I blamed my lack of sharpness in my photos on my lens. :sad2: Yeah, not able to effectively back this up since the ones where I used autofocus were just fine. :lmao:

So to that end I started to researh how to effectively adjust it to help me. I found this article. If anyone knows a better way, please speak up!!! Though this seemed easy and effective.

I will not disclose just exactly what I had to adjust it to so I could see the etchings clearly! When did I get old?

i don't have very good vision and had just turned it as far as it would go which according to this was the right setting for me but interesting to see the difference it made in settings when i used the actual method to adjust it...
thanks for the link

Yep, mine is as far to the plus as it will go. :rotfl2: I went out an shot my kids at the park and OMG! such a difference. No more squinting to focus.

Again, when the heck did I get old?

husband has always had better than 20/20 vision and he just had to get reading glasses...somehow the gray hair since 30 didn't faze him but the eyesight going is just about doing him in:laughing: me on the other hand never had good eyesight but as long as there is hair dye I can pretend I'm young and carefree:;)
