Dinsey changed our hotel

Dinsey called and changed our resort. We initally booked for the PO Royal Rooms and got the call today that they are still under construction and our room will not be ready. They " upgraded" us to Polynisian (sp)... How is this hotel? My daughter is so upset What other resorts could we have chosen from?

If they upgraded you to the POLY for the price of POR...TAKE IT AND RUN...It is a fabulous DELUXE resort on the monorail line

I've heard the Polynesian is the best of the hotels (the one that is always recommended to newbies of the World). I've never personally stayed there, but I'd like to at some point.

That is an incredible deal and a beautiful hotel.You won't be disappointed

I agree with the pp. The Poly is a huge bump up from POR. Explain to your daughter that she will be able to ride the monorail. She will love it.

Congrats... You just won the Disney "lottery"! It's a deluxe resort, it's on the monorail line, it has a great view of MK, and it has some of the largest rooms at Disney.

This is an awsome deal that I would not pass up!!!! I can understand a child being upset since those rooms look very cute but even if my children were alittle upset at first I would just explain as best you can how nice the Poly will be.

Believe me, any disappointment you daughter is feeling will evaporate as soon as you arrive at the Poly. It's an amazing place.

HANG UP THE PHONE NOW!!!! I love POR, but oh my gosh, the Poly is awesome!!!! You will be able to watch the MK fireworks right from the beach at the resort. You can sit by the pool and see them go off! Take the offer and run!

Wish we had booked POR and got upgraded to the Poly. Silly us, we booked the Poly and paid the extra 200$ per night.

OH MY! Do the math...run the cost on the Disney website and see what you got as an upgrade!!!! The cost difference btw mod and deluxe is a LOT! You just hit it big time!!!!!!!!!! You are going to be on the monorail which is the BEST place to be. We love the Poly Stayed there in Oct 2010. AMAZING.

The polynesian is a fantastic hotel! They have great dining options, fun decor in the rooms, private balconies, fireworks, tiki torches, hawaiian music, one of the best themed pools on property, sandy beaches, and a relaxing atmosphere. It will make you feel like you just travelled to Hawaii. Show your daughter a picture of the volcano pool and I bet she will get excited. There are fun activities held at the pool everyday, and fireworks can be seen from the beach. It's a great place to be!!

I decided to just be thankful for the upgrade. I do think the decor is ugly but appreciate that Disney upgraded us. I love the Boardwalk.... we had our choice of a deluxe hotel but the GF was booked and my hubby just took the first option he was given which was the poly with theme park view. I just have visions of the hideous brown decor but maybe it is nicer in real life.

Geez I would be over the moon to be upgraded from my gv to tpv at the poly. Thats quite an upgrade you got. I hope you enjoy your stay. Report back to us and let us know how it turned out.
