DINOSAUR Attraction open date change?

I was not emailed, but my FP+ was changed (Oct 28)on MDE to another ride (Primeval Whirl of all things, ugh).

Slight bummer, I like Dinosaur, but booked Kali.

Big push back on the ride re-opening.

RNR is supposed to reopen on 11/10, but they haven't opened up fast pass reservations yet.

I recieved an email for my 10/29 fast pass, it was also changed to primeval whirl later in the day. Very disapointing!

Mine was replaced with Primeval Whirl for November 16th.

Yes its been extended to November 20th for now. No word as to why as of yet.

Ugh our FP too - for November 16! We leave on the 21st and hadn't planned on doing AK twice - but Dinosaur is my son's favorite! He came off of it crying and shaking last year (4yrs old) but has not stopped talking about going back on it!

Pirates of the Carribean was closed on our trip last year - another one of his favorites, and so when I booked this trip - I paid special attention to the refurb list, but never imagined Dinosaur would go over a month past its scheduled re-opening!

::grumble:: So two of my top rides are BTMR and Dinosaur, and after seeing this post I realized I had an email cancelling my FP for Dinosaur as well. I like RNR but am not heartbroken that is closed while I am going. At least I know they won't take Haunted Mansion away from me, as we are going around Halloween!!

Just got my email yesterday too for 11/12 being cancelled.....and changed with the worst ride at AK Primevil Whirl. Going to try to change to Tough to be a Bug.

Got my notification yesterday about my FP+ on October 26th. As others have posted, the reservation was moved to another attraction (Kali River Rapid). The problem I had was that I had 5 people in the FP+ and they split the group up to the same attraction but at different FP+ times that didn't overlap.

Mine was canceled for 11/10 and I also got Primeval too 2 hours past the Dinosaur time. I hate Primeval Whirl. UGH.....

I second that . Primevel is a NO GO FOR ME! Fortunately the kids can ride it alone. Dinosaur is still on my list as a top ride but as i age, those herky jerky rides become unbearable.

I too received the dreaded FP+ cancellation email. Kinda bummed. Of the big attractions at AK, that's the only one we've never done (my little one was too little), and I was very much looking forward to experiencing it. It was replaced with a FP+ for Expedition Everest at the same time. Great, because I know how hard those are to get, not great because my 10 you vowed never to ride it again! Fortunately, I was able to switch it to Kali for the same time.

I had fastpass for Dinosaur on 11/17 and this week got an email that there was an unexpected scheduling change and that Dinosaur was no longer available for fastpass. I have been searching and found no mention of a closing that day or any day. Has this happened to anyone else or has anyone heard anything? I am bummed if it is closed because I like that ride and will have to redo my touring plan if it is down that day.

From what I understand, the ride is under refurbishment right now and the completion date has been delayed. So I believe that is the issue.

I just changed our Primeval Whirl to a 6:10 Safari. We'll try to hit it around sunset, I think.

I did exactly the same as you. Hoping to get a sunset Safari for the first time. Not a bad plan at all.
