Dinosaur at AK

Super fun! Rough, and I laugh every time! Be sure to watch the pre-show, makes the ride more fun, and don't miss the hilarious post-show tag on the "security cameras" in the gift shop. AWESOME ride!!!

Agree with the others - rough and bouncy. Not sure if you've ever been on Indiana Jones in DL but it's very similar to that. And I would not recommend riding it after riding EE twice in a row... learned that lesson. :rolleyes1

I heard its the exact ride track.....not that I know for sure, but I have ridden both and I believe it....

AND its my FAVVVVVV, I love it :)

I love both rides as well - just wouldn't recommend the particular combo that I did on our last trip.

It is pretty rough, up and down and jerky. I braced myself, or tried to, by tensing my legs to keep from being jostled so much. I do like it and will be riding it again!

oh gosh, I have now ruled out EE at all.....apparently my stomach doesn't do backwards well........I hate the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland Paris too.....way back in the day we got FP for it, then waited in a short line and gave away our FP for it cuz it was not as awesome as we thought it would be.....

Yeah, it was the backwards part that did me in. Not the first time, but by the second time as soon as we started going backwards I was like "uh oh, this was not a good idea"...

Its a little rough and bouncy, but no where near as bad as people on here are making it out to be. It is a great ride! I love it!

It was my 3 year old's favorite ride at Disney!

I'm going back and forth on this one for my 5 year old. I mean, she's only 5 but she's adventurous, but she's got a sensory processing issue but she's pretty rough and tumble but...

Yeah. We'll be hitting the big rides at Epcot and MK before we get to AK, so maybe that will be a good indicator. We're totally willing to do rider swap and just lose a FP if it comes to it.

You shouldn't have to lose a FP using Rider Swap for this.
DAK FP situation is such that you can often get great additional FP even later in the day.

I meant her FP. We'll get everyone a FP and if it turns out not to be a go for her, we'll let her FP "go to waste" while the rest of the family does rider swap.

We're going in January at a low crowd time. As long as I can hook a couple of the biggest ticket FP+ on our date I'm not fussed in general about the fast pass situation.

It is rough - very bouncy. However I will still ride it. The only ride I won't go on anymore is space mountain. For some reason it is really hard on my neck.

Guess it depends on the person, sure it's bouncy but I love it and don't feel any pain from it, it's the same ride as Indiana Jones in DLR and I love that ride too.

Agree, it depends on each person's tolerance level. I like Dinosaur at AK and Indy Jones at DL, but can't handle MK's Space Mountain anymore. DL's Space Mountain is still pretty good, but Matterhorn is now on my no-ride list.

I always take an Advil (for my back) prior to riding this and put earplugs in before getting on. I was afraid to try it for quite a few years but, when I finally did, I loved it. And I do not go on any of the roller coasters (except BTMR screaming the whole time!) or Splash!

I was joking around with my son while we were by the big transformer in the line right before getting on the ride. I said "always be safe and never do this" then grabbed the wire and started shaking like I was electrocuted. Scared a bunch of kids in the line. Just wanted to share if you want to have some fun before getting on.

My H and I have back issues, so this is not something we can ride again and again, but it's fun and yes, quite bumpy and jerky.
