Ok this is my first dinning review... first time staying onsite so again first time on the DDP and we fell in love with it guess we didn't mind the changes since we didn't use it before... here's where we eat...

I'll try to get this done as quick as i can but i'm not that great at quick! LOL and i'm still at the very start of my TR so I'll try! My dh is no fun at all and refused to let me take pics of the food! LOL so sorry i have very very very few pic and if there are pics they will mainly be of the kids ... but i'll try to give good reviews of what we had and how well the DDP worked at differant places.

Ok I'll get started... b/c it looks like there have been a lot of views so ...

Riverside Mill for lunch our first attempt at the dinning plan and this was kinda a confussing place to start since it's cafateria style and we weren't 100% sure what we were supose to get ... even though i had done lots of reading on here, ect. We all just got some cheeseburgers all around w/ fries simple and easy was good. The kids all got grapes and a cookie Chocalate milk, juice boxes and pop for ds and dh. i had bottled water. Can't memeber the deserts we got... so they probably wheren't great maybe ch. cake, and dh got a cookie i'm thinking. The Deserts you have to get at a sprate location then the main food and the drink you get your self as well unless it's soda then you get a cup when you pay.
The food was typical cheese burger and fries. It was filling enough to last till Chef Mickey's that night around 6:00 ...

We wanted to take a ride on the Monorail before dinner so we headed there around 5:15 our ADR wasn't till 6:45 so LOTS of time. Not sure we parked in the right spot at the Contempary or not but we didn't get towed away so that's a good sign right? LOL We checked out the resort for a few it is very nice and we wouldn't mind saying there some time at all !!! So all on the monorail for a nice ride around to see the other resorts and of course the castle !!! So one trip arond and we were back at the contempary... so it was only about 5:55 our ADR not till 6:45... so we went ahead and checked in after waiting in a line for about 10 min of people ahead of us w/ no ADR ... we wanted to see if we might get in early... sure here's a pager we'll get you in as soon as we can... we head back to get our picutre taken w/ Mickey's plate and our pager goes off right way I did get a look from a lady that we right ahead of me in line I think she was mad we got seats before her party since i was behind her in line... actully that happend a LOT!!! LOL

The food was ok, not great but ok. deserts were great however! I loved thoes! LOL I don't think it will be a must do for us again when we go back, our table was also right next to the kitchen doors so not a great spot but what can ya do. Our waiter was good, not great or extreamly friendly but did get our refils proptly and clear the plates. Here's the good part... Being the first dinner of the trip and having the characters at the table off and on the kids didn't eat much at all... mostly mac n cheese and cheese pizza. I did enjoy the mashed potatos but that's really all that stand out in my mind. Dh tryed the prime rib i think and said it was so so... It just wan't a hit for us. Maybe breakfast next time??? But probably not unless we were staying at the Contemporary.

No pics of this except for the character pictures we did get, had to ask mickey if the kids could get the pic w/ him he was in a big hurry for some reason??? Mostly all of them were, pic, wave, hug c-ya... ??? had better character interation later in the trip.

Of all the character meals we have done, we felt the most rushed at Chef Mickeys. The characters barely stopped long enough for a photo, and we only saw them once. Maybe the restaurant is so big, they have to be quick to cover the entire restaurant? We definately had better interactions at Garden Grill, Ohana's and Crystal Palace. But those places weren't as busy either.

The Contemporary is at the top of my wish list, but for this next trip, I think it will be a mod for us. One Day, I will get my wish.

Ok so we had a very really morning this day got to the park about 7:10AM for BBB at 8:00AM. We decided to eat some lunch/brunch around 10:40 or so and we were in fantasy land riding stuff so we decided to give it a try. Me and dh just got some pizzas and salad and strawberry shortcake for desert for me (shared w/ the kids of course) and dh got a milkshake that ds ended up drinking. Yumm it was pretty good. The pizza must be wheat of some kind i think it's differant then i remember at pizza planet from the year before but i prefer wheat bread and grain so it worked for me??? The kids got pinwheels and loved them a lot more then i expected them too, except ds refused to try them and wanted PBJ so ok... they just got grapes and applesause. I saw figaro fried and really wanted to try them but i was full so that was all... I was over all pleased with the food and the service was very fast and simple then again it was only 10:45 AM so most people weren't eating lunch! LOL We were able to get the stroller in the resurant and there was plenty of room for it as well.

went to chef mickey's our first day for breakfast about 8:00. character interaction good (better at Crystal palace) but still good. Less crowded at breakfast and we were there for free dining so all restaurants were crowded! Breakfast was good but remember very little. IMO Overall I think I would rather do a breakfast.
