Dinning plan...how will they know?

I will be staying on property this spring for 7 days and have signed up for the dining plan. We will have 21 adult credits and 7 children credits. My parents are coming for 2 days and we wanted to take them to eat. How will the restaurant know who is on our reservation and who isn't? when I pay I only give one card so will the wait staff ask for names or do they even care?

You will have only 2 adults listed on your DDP info (when they swipe your card, they can tell) and the restaurant is only supposed to allow you to use 2 adult dining credits. Exactly so you can't pay for others while using the DDP. So while you may have enough credits to do what you want, they won't let you.

So, yes they do care.

Keep in mind your meal credits are based by the number of nights you stay also.

You can still enjoy a meal together though. Just tell your server before you order that you need separate checks as you are on the DDP and the others are not. The servers will then ring up everything on 2 checks and you can pay with your credits for your family and by cash/card for your guests.

Are you staying 7 days or 7 nights? You will only have 21 adult credits if you are staying 7 nights as credits are awarded that way.

But, yes, when you go to the restaurant with your parents, simply tell them that two of the meals will be OOP.
