Dinner with young kids

Hi - My husband and I are taking our grandsons ages 6, 8, & 10 years old to WDW for 12 nights. I am sort of stressed because my husband and I like going out to dinner, but the boys are pretty picky, really only eating pizza, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken nuggest, and the like. The buffets are pretty expensive for the little they eat.

So far the only restaurants I have chosen are Whispering Canyon Cafe and Prime Time. I wanted to go to Be Our Guest, but I am not sure they would find much to eat there.

I'm asking for suggestions and ideas.

If the price doesn't scare you away too much, take them to the Hoop Dee Doo at the campground. All of my nephews love it, as did I when I was little and still do! The show is worth the cost alone (if you go in expecting corny fun, not braodway). The last time we were there, DS was able to get a delicious mac & cheese and I know they have other kids options. Its different and always a good time.

If you check allears.net for the menus you'll find a ton of sit down meals that have what the kids like on their kids menus. To be honest most kids menus consist of those items you mentioned .

Almost all the Restaurants we have been to have the things mentioned. If there not big eater's maybe have the split meals and you can always get something else later at Quick service.

My Lo is 3 and his favorites are:

T Rex
Rain forest cafe
Coral reef - ( loved the fish tank there)
Via Napoli - Loved there pizza

Our kids love

Via Napoli (Epcot - Pizza!)
Sci-Fi (they like to sit in the cars and watch the movie reels)
Ohana breakfast (characters + yummy food)

I have one picky girl and one easy girl and they both liked Brown Derby, too.

This year I got a request from one to eat at Boma. Even there they found plenty to interest them.

Really most all the Disney restaurants have choices on their menus that will appeal to even picky eaters. You are in luck in that respect.
