dinner with dhs boss

Dhs boss's boss is in town this week. He was supposed to come in Monday we were supposed to do dinner last night.
He had an emergency so was not able to come in until today.
I am " requested" to be in attendance tonight for dinner. Make the arrangements, get a sitter, etc.

Boss gets off the plane, says " no not tonight, tomorrow" so now I have to cancel. Oh wait ds and dh have a game. ( dh is the coach) nope now dh has to see if it can be rescheduled or the alternate coach step in .


WTH???

I mean, come on they dont OWN him, he does have other commitments KWIM?

the only thing I can think of is something big is going on if I have been " requested " to attend. I have been invited before and that has been an informal " how ya doing" type thing but no this is a " request" and a very insistent at that, and it came from the boss's boss's boss ( got that?) AKA " the king of the West Coast" as I call him.


so now I have to change everything around.
