I am looking for a dinner suggestion that is in the vicinity of Epcot to possibly leave the park, have dinner and go back....we do have the dining plan with table service option....thank you

We are big fans of Flying Fish at Boardwalk and Yachtsman at Yacht Club. Both are signature meals.

We really like Big River Grill at the boardwalk. Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club is good for sandwiches and ice cream.

Yachtsman, Flying fish. Shulas or Il Mulino in the swan/dolphin.

Shulas and Il Mulino are not on the dining plan.

Is there a reason you want to leave EP? World Showcase has so many really good restaurants.

Beaches & Cream isn't a bad option, but it also isn't good "value" on the dining plan. If you intend to go make sure you have a reservation since it is small and popular. Via Napoli might be an option -- pizza and pasta. If your teen likes steak/fried rice consider Teppan Edo - the food there is good and our teens insisted we go there again for our upcoming trip.

In other words, don't eat where you want to eat, eat where you can maximize your "value" on the DDP?

This is just another reason I don't like this plan. Reminds me of the family I saw the last (and FINAL) time I tried LeCellier. Mom FORCED everyone to order steak as that was the only way to justify the DDP, buy the highest price entree on the menu :(

Well, no, not at all. Eat where you want to eat but if, for example, you plan on eating at a signature restaurant and have to pay out of pocket for a meal then consider paying out of pocket for Beaches & Cream. We are doing that on our next trip - eating at Narcoosee's for one of our meals using DDP and paying out of pocket for The Plaza.

If I was purchasing the DDP and thinking about eating at Beaches & Cream then I might reconsider the value of the DDP. If free dining then it probably doesn't matter where you eat.

With respect to the DDP itself, we don't purchase it since we don't always want to do table service meals every day. Free dining though we'll take advantage of it.

thank you everyone for your feedback. Not free dining when we go. I still have a couple weeks before I have to make my adr's. thanks again
