As we're not planning on going over board with the parks this time like not doing seaworld etc, we're wondering if any dinner shows would be a good idea. I've always fancied medievil times and when we went when dd waas 15 months old, the welcome meeting was in the same place and it was lovely to look round but we felt dd was too young. We did Buffalo Bills at DLRP on ds's 4th birthday and both kids loved it.

Any suggestions?

Hi there!

DP and I did Hoop de Doo Revue this February and LOVED IT!!:thumbsup2 We were a bit skeptical at first (this was our first dinner show) but I don't think we've laughed so much in ages:rotfl2:

The shows on 3 times each night, with 3 different seat categories available at each show (we got 2nd category seating which worked out just fine, great view of the stage etc.) Pre-booking is a must, the show we went to was packed.

Food is basic but there's loads of it: salad, cornbread, ribs, chicken etc. and a yummy strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Entertainment stops and starts (live music for a time when you're eating) but is basically a corny old-style stage show: lots of audiennce participation required!

The setting is lovely too: FW makes a good base to explore, and you could combine it with a boat trip to MK also.

hi. we did mickeys backyard barbecue last year. my dd is 7
an she had fab time. food was great and lots of character interaction
with mickey, minnie, donald, daisy, goofy and chipmunks.
the kids get to dance with them all and even though there
are hunners of kids they all had a turn.

we've done medieval times (my favourite by far - especially love the green knight!); the pirate one (great for children); arabian nights (loved this one)

i dont think you can really go wrong with any of them, but id go for medieval times if i had to pick just one of them - there was lots of food too

We went to Hoop de doo and mickeys backyard BBQ. we loved both of them. The kids 11,7 and 4 laughed their heads off at hoop de doo, even if they didn't understand the jokes:rotfl: :rotfl: . Mickeys bbq is good too but very busy and chaotic at the start. It is a help buffet with unlimited beer. We stayed till the end and it soon quietened down and the kids were able to dance with the characters. Lots of people left early i don't know why:confused3 :confused3 . DH was staying as long as there was beer:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
