I'm wondering if there is a dinner show that is a must-do...we have a second 'Ohana night reserved for our 2 week trip and I'm not sure if I should cancel one and go to a dinner show instead..and then pay OOP at Sci-Fi. The dinner shows are 2TS credits, right? Any info would be appreciated...I'm torn about what to do...I love 'Ohana but don't want to miss out on something that is a "to do" on everyone's vacation...thanks!!

Our family loved Hoop Dee Doo so much last summer that it is on our to do list for next May's trip! I had low expectations but the show was great, the food was really good, and beer, sangria, & gratuity are included in the price.

Yes, all dinner shows are 2TS credits.

We love the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, too! We will be seeing it in November for our 3rd straight year. Our daughters, DD10 and DD8, LOVE it! The food is great and the show itself is hilarious!

Another vote for the Hoop Dee Doo. It is classic Disney and has been running continously for years to sold out crowds.
The food is very good down home cooking with ribs, fried chicken, baked beans, corn bread, salad, beer, wine and sangria and delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert. The show is western themed and is lively with lots of singing, dancing, audience participation and full of cornly jokes.
Groups of all ages love it.
Have a Great Trip

Ok....so now I know it is good....but...is Whispering Canyon Cafe close to the same type of thing? We are going there on Feb. 3....and I was going to book Hoop De Doo on the 2nd...is that going to be repititious for us...should I keep the night at 'Ohana's and do Hoop de Doo instead of WCC or should I keep both??

We were at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Tuesday and it's one of the few things that's still as good as it was when we first saw it 24 years ago. :thumbsup2

so I cancelled my second 'Ohana night...and added Hoop Dee Doo...I had to give my credit card number to reserve it...and it said that it was charged...but I thought if you have ddp that it would just use the card as a hold...anyone know what's up with this???

If you booked online then it charges your card. The online system doesn't have the capability to differentiate between the dining plan and oop. When you pick up you tickets they will reverse the charge and use dining credits instead.

The only way to avoid being charged in advance is to call in for ressies.

Um...I booked online and my print out from the reservation clearly shows the amount charged to my credit card is 0 dollars. It also states "A credit card guarantee has been applied to one or more of your reservations". I checked my credit card account (as I booked this several months ago), and I have not been charged for the reservation. So, not sure why the OP was charged for this reservation when booked online as I was certainly not. (and yes, I also plan to use my DDP) Sorry to the OP that I can't be of more help. Maybe someone else has a theory? :confused3

We booked over the phone last week and they said it was just a credit card hold, but when we got there the tickets were all paid for. :confused3
