Dinner/show timing

going on our 1st cruise in a few weeks!! Was wondering about the timing between the first show and the late dinner. Are they back to back? Should I expect to be dinner ready going into the show and walk straight to dinner afterwards or is there usually time to go back to the room first? And I so, how much time? TIA

The shows are generally around 6:15 & 8:30, lasting about 45 minutes (sometime 1 hour).

Dinner seatings are 5:45 & 8:15, generally.

Of course, these times are variable (anywhere from 15-30 minutes)

When you dress before the show your set for the night. Because then you have time to get photos with characters after the show. So much more relaxing and I find shorter lines at photos.
