What time should I make my dinner reservation for the night of MNSSHP? What time does it actually start and end? Thanks :)

Officially, the party runs from 7pm to midnight. However, you can actually enter MK at 4pm with just your party ticket. If you are attending the party, I would definitely be finished with dinner by 6:30 if you are interested in any of the party specific meet and greets because you will want to get in line early. If you are not attending the party, you cannot make an ADR for anytime after and including 7pm.

Personally, we arrive at MK about 3:45pm and enter right at 4pm. We hit up any meet and greets we want to do that are not available during the party and then grab a fast QS meal before getting in line for a party M&G. It really just depends on what you want to accomplish for the night.

Hope that helps.:goodvibes

I know MNSSHP starts at 7pm. We made a reservation at Crystal Palace for 6:15. We will most likely be a little late for the party but at least when we are done eating we will be able to just walk into the party...we will have tickets to the party though :goodvibes

It also depends on where you want to eat and what you want to accomplish. For us personally, since we are paying $300.00+ for the party, I want to make the most of our time and money and be in the gates at 4:00p where we will do a CS meal. We are eating a early lunch at T-Rex and hanging out at the POR until time to leave for MNSSHP. If doing a TS, I would want the earliest time possible for dinner.:)

In the past we made a reservation at CP for around 5:00. They were seating people a bit late that night (it was quite busy, I'm sure because we went right on Halloween). I think we were out of the restaurant around 6:30. It was perfect timing. We headed over to get the girl's picture with Cinderella's carriage. They actually let people start with the pictures early that night because of the expected crowds (you had to have an arm band though to get in line since non-party goers were still in the park).

Off the subject, but is your name Maia? My daughter's name is Maia and spelled that way...and so far I have never come across anyone else who spells it that way. Many other ways though!:goodvibes

On the day I am considering.... I made a late lunch ADR around 2 and figured we could grab a cs for dinner that night.

Last year we had a 5:00 ADR at The Wave on the party night and it worked out great.

Last year we had an ADR for The Plaza for 4:30. We toured MK all day that day so we just had to stop off and check in to the party on our way to The Plaza. We finished at about 5:20 or so and began to head over to the 7 Dwarves. If seeing them is a must for your group, I would make it a point to be at that line by 6. We got to the line at 5:45 and were 6th or 8th on line. By the time the party started, the line was well over an hour long. To give you an idea, the 7 Dwarves met were Woody and Jessie meet by the exit to Splash. The line went through that que, all along the wall, under the Frontierland Train Station and ended up by the entrance to BTMRR. Personally, I would rather wait an hour before the party than an hour durring the party. By 7:05 we had seen the dwarves and went through the trick or treat path that was right next to it. Having a little bit of patience waiting before the party saved us a ton of valuable party time. Also, the almost three hours of downtime between the ADR and waiting for the 7 Dwarves really helped us to regroup for the party.

We did end up getting popcorn while waiting for the first Boo-To-You parade and HalloWishes. Between the popcorn and the trick or treat candy, we weren't really bothered by the early ADR and we are usually the types to grab the last ADR of the night whenever possible.

When we went a couple year ago (first party), we made dinner reservations for CRT at 4:30pm and was out in plenty of time before the party started at 7pm.

When we went in '09, we made a 5:00p ressie at Kona Cafe and then headed over to the MK for the party. We were in by 6:30 and still got to do everything we wanted - worked out great!

Nope, I'm not Maia - my daughter is too!

This will be our first time and I'm thinking about a 4-5 pm ADR at Via Napoli then head over to the party. My priority is getting some rest before dinner so that we can make it to the last parade, don't know if that will happen!

Although I would enjoy getting pics at the M&Gs, I think my kids will only be interested in the trick-or-treating, rides, and dance party. My wants are the parade and Villian Mix and Mingle, but I wouldn't be surprised if the M&M gets nixed :sad1:

Eek, I don't think I'd want to make an ADR at EPCOT for dinner the night of the party. Figure at least an hour to get to the party. To me, it would be a little stressful. I think we are going to book the earliest (5:00) dinner at WCC, and then ride the boat over to the MK...but we've been several times before, so we don't need to be there at 4:00. We usually have an early (around 4:30ish ADR at Crystal Palace, but DH is Crystal Palaced out. It'd still my favorite place to eat before the party though!!

Thanks for the heads-up on the timing! As it stands now, that would be fine.

Since the party doesn't start until 7, an hour would be ok since we won't be waiting in line to see characters. My kids would absolutely view the ride on the monorail or boat to be part of the fun and they're the impatient ones. The bus would be a different story if the other options were down for some reason. I figured monorail to TTC then take the ferry over if it's nice out. Aaaaaah, I'm relaxing just thinking about it. I'm not too worried about getting there after 7pm...it will be close enough. My now 4 yr old is an ogre while waiting in line for his turn for something he WANTS to do, I can't imagine what the result would be when he isn't interested in the destination

We have no need to be in the park at 4pm. We'll be there the day before and probably another morning after the party. Besides, I'm really looking forward to this PIZZA! I'm having a hard time fitting it in to the other park days with F&W offerings available.

It's all about what the family is interested in doing. Lines for characters? Not on the list for us. But, this is our first visit and it's unrealistic to fit everything into a week.

Our plan is not set in stone, though. The preferences and ability to wait may change for my kids. If that's the case, then I'll change things around.

does anyone know what time the event ends? also what do you do with your costumes if you head right over to the MNSSHP? wear them to dinner? lol

It ends at midnight. A lot of people will wear their costumes to dinner. Others will bring their costumes with them and change, leaving their street clothes in a locker at MK. And still others don't really wear costumes at all.

You'll love the ride from the Ferry, it's one of the best "free" things you can do, and very relaxing!! Just wanted you to know the timing. Is there a reason you want to go to Via Napoli on that night in particular? Will that be your only EPCOT day. Oh, also, there is face painting at EPCOT, if you're interested in something like that for your kids costumes.
