Dinner reservation on MVMCP night

So as of now, we don't plan to get tickets to MVMCP but we have a reservation for Crystal Palace at 6pm on one of those nights. Will we have to finish our dinner by 7pm?

It sucks if it's the latter. we don't plan on doing the party(as of now anyway) as we have small kids.. i think i might probably feel somewhat offended, or even embarrassed, if we are going to be walked all the way to the exit of the park. oh well..

We had a 6 PM at Crystal Palace for a Night Of Joy night. Our ADR got cancelled less than a week before our trip because we didn't have NOJ tickets. I would be happy just to have kept the ADR even if they escorted us out of the Park.

This. CMs are just making sure non-partygoers find their way out. You'd be amazed how many got lost in the past--innocently of course.

Yes, be prepared to be escorted out. Even if you've paid for the party you get asked to show your special party bracelet every few minutes as you pass each CM. They take this very seriously. So, when they find people that aren't wearing the band, they are sure to send you on your way.....and follow along to make sure you really leave. I agree that it might feel a bit awkward, but don't take it personal. And there will be plenty of other people being escorted out as well, so you won't be alone.

Out of the park entirely. It's no big deal. They will be doing the same with a lot of other people too.

Nothing to be embarrassed by. They just want to be sure that those who didn't pay for the event leave. Believe it or not MANY people try to make late reservations hoping to be able to blend in with the party crowds. Others just try to blend in without late dining ADRs. That is why they escort people out. They have no way of knowing who did it intentionally and who did it unintentionally. Who is honest enough to leave on their own and who is not, so escorting them out is their way of being sure anyone without a ticket leaves.

You will be escorted out of the park. And make sure you have any shopping or potty breaks done too, as you will not be allowed to make any pit stops.

If you think it sucks then you have a few options: cancel your ADR, change the time of your ADR, or purchase party tickets. Unfortunately too many people try to stay for a party that they didn't pay for, so Disney has to escort people without tickets out of the park.

Why would you be embarrassed or offended? CMs need to make sure only guests that paid for the party are in the park after 7pm. It's not fair to paying guests to have non-paying people in the park, possibly roaming around, trying to hide out and get something for nothing. You would be surprised how many people tried hiding in bathrooms in order to get in free!!! Now, if it's 7 and you need a potty break? You have to wait until you get out of the park! CMs are stationed at restrooms now!!

You may even find that your ADR is cancelled....many have reported that happening when they book ADRs within an hour or so of a special party starting. If it were me? I would either try to book an ADR at CP for earlier in the day, on a different day, or a different restaurant outside of MK for that evening, and then spend that extra hour doing stuff before the park closes.
