Howdy~

How and when do I go about getting tickets/reservations for the following: (2A,0C) 5 days in July parkhopper tickets
-World of Color - someone said there is a dessert package, is there a dinner package, too - if so, what’s best?
-Fantasmic - dining package info (where do we eat, etc.)
-Walk in Walt’s Footsteps Tour

Any others? Any other tips/advice?

Thanks, a bunch,
~Robin

Go to the DLR website (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/#/reservations-accepted/) to look at the dining package options for WOC and for F! Look at the menus for the restaurants, then choose whichever restaurant has the menu that appeals to you most. Both shows have lunch and dinner packages. Only WOC has the Dessert Party. Reservations usually open up 60 days in advance. Don't worry if it takes a few days longer than that.
For tours, again on the DLR website (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/), look under Things to Do, then click on Events and Tours. You'll find the WIWF tour info on that page.

We prefer the Fantasmic dinner package at the River Belle Terrace Premium seating. Dinner is at 8:00 and you get to stay on the patio for the show. Best seats, you don’t have to waste time staking our a place hours early and the best part is you don’t have to sit on the ground. You must call to get this reservation.

We are trying this Saturday night coming. I can't sit in the ground but I'm not lame enough to be in a scooter so this was our best choice as we love F! and have not seen it in 4 years.

How far in advance do we make ressies ?

I very well might do this next time we go (We've never seen Fantasmic!).

You might want to consider getting tickets now. There might be a price increase for tickets and/or maxpass before SWGE opens.

For those considering the F! Premium Package at RBT, be aware that the trade off for dinner and chair seating is a view that is farther back and partially obscured. Some posters love the chair and aren't bothered by the quality of the view. Other posters have been very bothered by the poor view (compared to the view of the other dining packages which is right up by the water) for the higher price. You cannot choose where to sit -- the tables are assigned. So you might pay a "premium" price to sit in the last row on the patio. Just be aware of this.

If you'll be seeing F! for the first time and you are able to sit on the ground, I highly recommend trying one of the regular dining packages (BB, RBT, or HB). The view from any of the areas (BB is our favorite) is super: up at the waterfront, center viewing. No one walking in front of you, everyone stays seated so no one can put kids on shoulders to block your view, and the view is very immersive -- you feel like you are part of the action! There are photos on this forum of the view from the regular package area and from the premium package patio. Compare before you buy to make sure you'll be happy with what you get.

Anyone know the current price for the Footsteps Tour?

I believe it's still $109 and you book it 30 days out. It lists a discount for AP's, DVC members, and Disney Visa Card holders. The tour also includes a box lunch/dinner from a fixed menu from the Jolly Holiday.
