We can tolerate the Starring Rolls sandwiches for lunch, but not wanting to spend the money on the Brown Derby this trip, we're looking for another quicker/cheaper place for dinner on our DHS day (sticking close to go back for Fantasmic at 9pm).

We're considering walking or boating to the Swolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht Club area and trying something over there - either CS or a cheaper TS that is also quick. We don't mind the walk and know we can use the boats as well, so none of that or time is an issue. We just aren't familiar with the dining options in those places.

We've been to Beaches & Cream and don't really care about trying to go back or waiting if they are full, so strike that one from the list. Aside from that, we're open to anything else (DW doesn't eat seafood, though, so there have to be non-seafood options) and we don't really like buffets very much.

ETA: We will have a TIW to use so bonus points for any place that gives the TIW discount. :)

I can't recommend anything over there. But I can give you a list of what restaurants off a TIW discount.

Swan: Garden Grove, and Il Mulino New York Trattoria

Dolphin: Todd English's bluezoo

Boardwalk: ESPN Club and Kouzzina
That is a list of restaurants that are under the $36-$59 dollars per entree price range.

TIW usage aside, you can get a more affordable meal at the Cabana or The Fountain at the Dolphin. Also, Picabu (like a cafeteria), is at the Dolphin as well. Those, along with Big River and ESPN Club, are the cheaper options in that area. The pizza window and the Boardwalk food stands aren't bad options either.

We love the sandwiches at the Boardwalk Bakery. DW & I split the turkey, swiss & bacon on multi-grain bread. It comes with a small bag of chips & is our favorite sandwich on property. We had it 2x last week--once with the chocolate mousse cake & the other time with carrot cake. These are good sized desserts, not those little "cups" you get at many of the QS spots, & delicious!

We have eaten at both Big River Grille and ESPN Club and enjoyed both. We will definitely go back. They offer lots of different options and fairly quick table service. They are both located right along the Boardwalk. Easy to reach from the boat dock.

I strongly recommend Kouzzina on the BoardWalk. It's not cheap, but it's not as expensive as The Hollywood Brown Derby, either. There are plenty of non-seafood options for your husband, and the food is wonderful -- negative reviews on the boards be damned!

Unfortunately, the counter service options are sorely lacking in the Epcot resort area. It's one of the only aspects of staying at the Beach Club my family dislikes. The Boardwalk Bakery has sandwiches, but they aren't too different than the fare at Starring Rolls. ESPN Club and Big River are both considered table service restaurants and are relatively inexpensive, but the fare is nothing special.

We found the Captains Grill at the Yacht Club to be a very pleasant surprise for us. :thumbsup2

Any comments about the places inside the Swan/Dolphin? The Fountain? It has 4.5 stars on ETicket...

I had hoped to just stay in the park and try Fairfax Faire's new fare, but reviews so far don't seem very good. We have good BBQ all over the place here, so theme park BBQ rarely does it for me anyway (we didn't enjoy Flame Tree much at all).

Since we'll be in DHS on a Sunday, I'm liking the idea of the ESPN club so I can catch the end of a golf touranment maybe... :)

Honestly, I found the food at the Dolphin (except BlueZoo) to be overpriced mediocore food. I had a great burger at Big River but I have also had a lot of not so great food there. ESPN has always been consistent for me. Not the hit of the trip by any means but a great go to meal.

I have to rave about Flying Fish! It is pricey but now that is always a hit of the trip for me!

Dolphin - The Fountain (and the Cabana) have the best burgers on property. The Fountain has some nice flat bread sandwiches and BLT as well. Picabu has some interesting selections at their meals, and we used it for breakfast twice last trip.
Swan - For dinner, I can't recommend much there except Il Mulino (which does accept TIW). The Garden Grove buffet just was not the best thing, when we tried that last trip (they do a great breakfast though).
