Going to WDW in June and have a PS for dinner at Cindy's. This is the only PS I am leary about. I have read in reviews elsewhere that the food is terrible. Also, we have the last seating of the evening, will this effect our experience? Please share your thoughts/experiences.

We've only done lunch at the Castle, but we love it. The food isn't the greatest, but it's pretty good.

We did dinner in the castle at the beginning of February and we really enjoyed it. We thought the food was great and the service was excellent as well.

We have had two wonderful dinners in the Castle. Great service, big portions, everything well prepared.

We have always enjoyed dinner at the castle. DH normally gets the prime rib. I think I had the pork last time and I loved it

We too are trying the castle for dinner for the first time this trip. I haven't seen anything negative about the food. Hope it's great I have a hard time getting my family to try anything new.

My DH and I went there and loved it! We both had the prime rib and it was great. PLus I ordered a dreamsicle drink with a souveneir glass. I love using the glass. It brings back great memories!

We've eaten there twice for dinner in the past 3 yrs. The first time was a great experience - food was excellent (prime rib), server was very personable, and we enjoyed ourselves and never felt rushed. Last year we returned for dinner, to celebrate my birthday. We were seated towards the back, which is dark (difficult to read the menu). It mentioned on our PS that it was my birthday - the server was in such a rush that night, instead of sprinkling the confetti on our table, it went into my hair! Food was still very good, but server was in a rush, and got our orders mixed up (this was Easter week, and it was very crowded). All around, it just wasn't the same experience. In fact I was just taking a poll in our house of where everyone wants to eat when we return next year, and everyone agreed it's time to try another restaurant in MK . :flower:

We have had many a great breakfast with Cinderella but the food and her staff could use some "magic" when it comes to dinner...LOL!

We were there this past September and spent over $100 for three of us to dine and the food was lousy and the service was slow and forgetful about our requests.

We will be passing on future dining opportunities when it comes to meals with Cindy. Better resturants such as Le Cellier if I am going to spend top dollars.

We ate at the last seating in 1997 (King Stefans Hall), and it was magical. When we left we were the only visible people in the park. The let us walk down Main St with a security guard in the distance. The food was great then. Since then we've done CRT for dinner and have not enjoyed it. I suggest try it and eat very very slow, hopefully you can get that magical experience of having Main st to yourself.

We've eaten dinner at CRT a couple of times. Great for the ambience, ok for the food. We've always had excellent service, and both times we've seen Cindy downstairs and passing through the dining hall. Go for the experience, and you won't be dissappointed!

We've had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table many times and the food has always been wonderful. I've never had a problem with the service either. There is only one restaurant at WDW that I like better and that is Le Cellier.

Highly recommend, for atmosphere alone. Service & food are well above average.

The prime rib was very good, shrimp appetizer was not.

The menu selections are quite limited (no steak in February).

Quite a value if you're using the MYW dining plan.

We loved our dinner in the Castle. In fact, it was our FAVORITE meal! :flower: My mom and I got the caesar salad which was very good. I really loved the bread that they served us. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of butter it was, it was very good and completely different than anything I had ever tried. YUM! :flower: My mom and I split the filet of beef which came with a red wine sauce. We had a choice of vegetables or mashed potatoes, we got the veggies. It was very delicious. My dad had the prime rib with mashed potatoes. I tried his mashed potatoes and they were so good.

My favorite was the dessert. I had Walt's Apple Bread Custard which is a bread pudding. It was drizzled with caramel sauce and had maple walnut ice cream on top. It was my favorite dessert! :goodvibes My mom had a chocolate cake which came with a caramel and raspberry sauce on the side. It was very rich but very good.

Service was fantastic. He was our favorite server and was so friendly. :) We got to see Peter Pan and Captain Hook running outside the window. We were also seated next to the window so it was fun to look outside into Fantasyland. We saw Cinderella and Mary Poppins while we were there. :sunny:

Thank you everyone! We will go purely for the experience. I feel like I would be cheating my family if we did not have a meal in the castle. :sunny:

Went with a group of 10 last Sept. Food was very good, and they didn't bat an eye at special requests.

Unfortunately, as Cinderella just hovers around near the elevator and downstairs, the kids couldn't get setlted into their dinner, and we ended up having an adult take them to see Cinderella several times (oddly, there were very few kids in the restaurant at all - maybe they too were downstairs??)

We would have liked to linger a bit and maybe have dessert, but while the food was good, and service pretty good considering our large party, we felt the need to leave pretty quickly. It just wasn't a place to sit with the kids - there was too much stimulation for them to settle to dinner.
