If you like Italian food, then you've got to go to Marri's Pizza on Katella between West Street and 9th. They've been there for years and have great pizza, spaghetti, etc.
They are very reasonably priced, too. A lot of movie stars have eaten there over the years, too! It is sit down, take-out or delivery.
For BBQ, you can't beat Chris and Pitts BBQ on Euclid and Crescent. It's a couple of miles north of DLR.
At Katella and Brookhurst there is a shopping center with a couple of good and inexpensive restaurants. There's a King Kabob, Popeye's Chicken, China Express Chinese Food (really good!) there is also a Seafood Palace and a Vietnamese restaurant for the adventurous types out there! (tantalizing dishes such as Pho, Phuc and Dung....I'm not kidding)
There is a Hometown Buffet all you can eat restaurant at the southeast corner of Euclid and Katella. It's pretty reasonable and good. There is also an Arby's, Taco Bell, Burger King and Baskin Robbins Ice Cream there, too. Across the street there is a McDonald's, Carl's Jr, Green Burrito, Jack in the Box, KFC and a Pizza Hut. There's a little hoagie sandwich place on the northeast corner of Katella and Euclid that has great sandwiches.
For Mexican food you can't beat Cabo's on the northwest corner of Katella and Euclid. There is also a Papa Johns Pizza there and a Blockbuster Video, if needed.
Hey, if you get the chance, try a Coldstone Creamery Ice Cream Shop. I don't think that there is one particularily close to DLR, but if you see one while you're out and about, give it a try. Really good ice cream!
Hope this helps!
Roy
BTW - I think Spaghetti Station may have been closed down. I saw a chain link fence surrounding the property last time I drove by.
