Dinner Idea?

My dbf and I will be down in May. We are already eating at:

Jiko's
Boma's(breakfast)
The Wave
Beaches and Cream

We had planned to do a tour on our Animal Kingdom day and not do a TS dinner but I was recently accepted into the Disney College Program for the fall and he's waiting to hear so we decided to save the tour for when we can get a discount on it. Sooo that leaves us open to another meal. We plan to go to Downtown Disney that night so it could be anything there or at a resort so if you have any suggestions we would love to hear them! Thanks in advance!

Would anyone recommend Captain Jack's? My Dbf seems to like the idea of that one the best, not sure how excited I would be for it though.

Pros: A Disney original...
Cons: Where to begin?


This is the first time (and hopefully the last time!) that we have ever NOT recommended a Disney restaurant. Where to begin... We ate here on 10/1. When we arrived, the host (who turned out to be the manager) "greeted" us by asking us for our name and summarily handing us the pager. I guess this meant we were to wait. And we waited. When we were finally seated, the entire dinner was filled with inconsistencies and all around poor service. Our server was right out of a New Jersey diner, although she admitted to working at Cap'n Jack's for almost 20 years. The food was just okay, but the rest of the experience was pretty bad. This is the first and hopefully only Disney restaurant we will not go back to. This was such a bad experience.


I agree with webray - Raglan Road is a hit!
