Dinner for two? Where?

Hello everyone!

I have a quick question! I will be going out to eat with my boyfriend for our anniversary [both the 4th, 5th, and 6th months all at once]! Any suggestions where to go? We'll be going out to eat the last weekend of February.

He is scheduled to drive down (and arrive) on February 26th and will be there for 3 days [provided that his leave from work gets approved].

Is there any suggestions of where to go to eat?

I would say my top three are California Grill in the Contemporary Resort....Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian and Le Cellier in Epcot. Another option in the Brown Derby in Hollywood studios. My wife and I have been many times and have never had a bad meal at any of these restaurants. They can be a little pricey for some entrees but definitly worth it.

The best places are those not on the dining plan. I would look at bluezoo, Il Mulino, Bistro de Paris, Shula's etc. They offer a much nicer dining atmosphere and have better food.

Jiko has one of the best settings - stunning. Foods fantastic. It is a little out of the way, but it is worth it just to wander around the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Pakey has some good recommendations and Jiko is another good bet. I would also like to add Citricos or Flying Fish.

I would choose from the following:

* Grand Californian (very good food, view Wishes from the oberservation deck)
* Jiko (great food, unique atmosphere)
* Artist Point (the food is good, atmosphere is quiet and relaxing)
* Flying Fish (very good food, can follow dinner with a drink at the Belle View Room)
* Narcoosee's (great food, view Wishes from the dock)

Depending on your budget, there's no better place for a romantic anniversary meal than Victoria & Albert's! Beautiful setting, fantastic food, great service. But expensive.

Citricos is my top pick for a romantic meal. The food is amazing, and the service is fantastic. It's a bit quieter than the other signatures and easy to get an ADR for.

We have celebrated several events at the Cali Grill - anniversaries, birthdays, etc. It is our absolute favorite. We usually make our reservations for just after the Magic kingdom Fireworks, but will go up early for cocktails and watch the show from inside or on the roof, weather permitting.

We've celebrated at Narcoosee's and Yachtsman. Both excellent! Artist Point is also a great place.

Raglan Road (Irish) in DTD is a fun spot. Live music and reasonable prices for a variety of food. The table-bread made with Guinness and dipped in honey is delicious.

Nothing is more romantic than having a good time.

Agreed - Had a great steak at the Yachtsmen for my Dad's birthday.

I wouldn't recommend Cal Gril for a romantic date. The place gets very loud when busy, which is always.

Brown Derby is my personal favorite, but I love that era so I'm biased. Other than BD, I'd recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse, Citricos, Bistro de Paris (great atmosphere but food is hit or miss), or Artist's Point.

More information would help.

What do you like to eat? More importantly, what DON'T you like to eat? Are you looking for something in the parks or at a resort?

Ask yourself these questions and it will help narrow down your choices.

There's actually kind of a side room which is much quieter. You don't get the great view of the main room, but if you go early you can enjoy cocktails and the view, then have a romantic dinner.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but i'm looking for some suggestions as well. i don't want anything "fancy" or stuffy, or pretentious, just someplace that would be great for a night out without the kids. currently i have spirit of aloha booked, but i'm afraid after reading some of the reviews that it may be too corny? anyone been to it?
