Dinner for two and drinks

We are celebrating our 25th anniversary on the May 2015 Panama Canal cruise on the Wonder.

1. Is there club soda and milk at the beverage station?

2. Given that it is our anniversary we are not that interested in eating with other guests. Are there tables for 2 in the dining rotation? If so, what are the chances of getting that.

1. Is there club soda and milk at the beverage station? Milk, yes, but I wouldn't combine it with club soda. Haven't seen club soda at the stations but they do have Sprite.

You have to request a table for two. DCL tries to grant special requests like that but won't guarantee it. You can also make reservations for Palo.

I believe I got club soda from the soda fountain last year on the EBPC. Definitely milk.

I have never seen club soda at the drink station and I am a BIG club soda fan. However, I did take the galley tour and they DO have it at the soda stations in the MDRs so you can get it at dinner.

Agree that there is no club soda at the drink stations.

I'd suggest that for your anniversary you book dinner at Palo for a really special meal. You may want to check the review I did for FoodieTales of Palo Brunch and Dinner (by coincidence both based our our experience on the Wonder while doing the WBPC last year).

I am not sure if I can get DH into Palo. I loved reading your blog though! DH is not a "dress up" kinda guy. We are going to WDW the week before the cruise and DL the week after the cruise. So, we are quite limited for packing space and do not want to bring formal wear. We are pretty casual people, so the MDR and the buffets are about as fancy as we want to get. We found the food awesome that we did not desire a Palo reservation, but was hoping to have a spot for ourselves for the length of the cruise.

The dress code at Palo doesn't require a real "dress up", just a nice button up shirt will work just fine.

There are no tables for 2 (2 top) in the MDR's. You can request a table for just the 2 of you but it will be at a 4 top table (table for 4). Just call DCL or your TA to request this. It is just a request and not a guarantee that you will get a table by yourselves. But, you can check at the dining changes venue once you board to see if you got one if not, then you can request it then. DCL does try to accommodate everyone.

We are going to Palo next week. We are only on a 3 night and packing light. DH is wear chinos and a dress shirt.

Palo is definitely worth the effort!!!

Sorry, my mistake, club soda is my drink of choice and I thought I got it at the drink station, must have just been getting water.

You might consider a brunch instead of an evening meal. The brunch at Palo is more casual dress than a meal in the evening.

RE: Table for 2

Are you SURE that you want a table for just the 2 of you for the duration (2 weeks) of the Cruise!! DW and I would go crazy if that happened to us ... since we usually spend all day together already!! We were on a 3 night cruise a while back and had a table to ourselves - next time that happens we're asking to be MOVED!!

And finally, it should be no problem getting a table for 2 on a Panama Canal cruise ... there are about 700 fewer guests onboard than for normal cruises.
