We are planning a birthday trip to WDW for DD(who will be 14)and 4-5 of her friends(all girls). What we have planned so far is 4 park days, 1 waterpark day, and breakfast in the room each day. We will be splitting our stay between a 2-bedroom at BWV(3 nights) and a 2-bedrom at OKW(3 nights), but still hoping for a waitlist miracle to spend the entire trip at BWV. I have asked that her friends bring enough money to eat lunch in the parks each day($10-15 for counter service), and we will provide lodging, tickets, and other 2 meals. So far, we have decided to do Beaches and Cream 1 night, mostly because it sounds like fun and is close to the BW, O'hana's 1 night(birthday girl's favorite), take-out pizza in the room 1 night, and we will cook spaghetti 1 night, and pair it with some Olive Garden Salad and breadsticks($14 at Crossroads). That leaves us with 2 nights undecided on, and I would rather plan ahead(my credit card prefers a plan). My daughter is absolutely no help, so I thought I would ask the experts: What meal could be prepared in the room relatively quickly, or what restaurant would someone suggest for a group of 13-14-year-olds that would not break the bank for dinner? We were thinking that we would do counter service at MGM 1 night while we waited for Fantasmic, since we did this once before with good results. That still leaves 1 night without a plan...help! Thanks in advance.

We are bringing DS(16) and his friend this summer...
We plan to visit Epcot a few times. If you will be there in the evening(hope you will to enjoy Illuminations!), why not sample the many international foods in World Showcase? What we do is travel from country to country and get a taste of each fast-foodery as we go. China, Mexico, UK, and a few others have reasonable combo platters or entrees. We all sample and share. And the best part is THEN we sample the many wonderful desserts from the carts or bakeries...Mousse au Chocolat (France), Beaver Tails(Canada), Kringla(??) Norway, Kaki-Gori(??) Japan...and on and on. We just have a blast. Not too expensive, great variety, and we FORBID each other to mention the word 'calorie'. Hope this helps!:)

Hi....

I would definitely recommend: SCI FI DINE IN THEATRE in MGM!

It's so much fun - and the food is great!
Try the chicken sandwich - yuuum!!

Mic,

Don't forget Connections Vouchers..They could be a great savings for you at Beaches & Cream and perhaps the counter service as well. and best of all they will be prepaid!!!

MOMTOMOOTOO-
Way ahead of you...ordered those babies(10) Sunday online. Now, as to whether Connections will screw up the order remains to be seen!

MinMiss-
Thanks for the suggestion. We may very well end more than 1 evening at MGM, since I know the girls will love RNRC and ToT, and I had forgotten about Sci-Fi...we ate there once last year.

Mai Ku Tiki-
The girls may end up snacking around the World Showcase for lunch 1 day, so I am not sure they will want to do that again in the evening, but who knows. I think they will all be so pooped by dinner that they would eat a cold whopper, but I am sure we won't find one of those at the BWV! Of course, my DD thinks they will be able to go all day and night(LOL)...we will see.

Thanks for all the suggestions!:)

I just got back from my mid-April trip with DD & her best buddy, both 15! We had all been before when the girls were 9 & 13 also. Twice we have done Prime Time 50's and the girls just loved it. I too had prepaid Connection vouchers, this time we used them at Beaches & Cream (twice), used them at Peco's Bills at MK, Cosmic Ray's in Tommorrowland and the UK Fish & Chip stand. I obtained some (4)breakfast vouchers and did one character buffet breakfast at Crystal Palace with Pooh one morning (by myself) and used the other 3 on breakfast at Cindys.(I was lucky to get through!) You might want to do one character breakfast with them.

If you could afford it or get the girls to pay (or maybe thier parents will) & take them to see Cirque. I splurged this time and got tickets 6months out for three & it came to around $225.00. but both of the girls just loved it, they were in Awe!...If your girls are into music and dance, like mine are...they will love it, and they can get a little dressed up for the night too. We did Planet Hollywood for an early dinner and the show was at 9....filled an evening too!

Or the girls might like going to DD and having dinner at the Rainforest and then shopping! Most girls love that.....Or if your going to Fantasmic, they have great hotdogs there!

By the way, we stayed at BW too and the girls just loved the Sweet Shop there...lots going on there too...Your girls will love it as much as you will!

Pooh's Pal-
Thanks for all the suggestions. I had considered the Planet Hollywood/Downtown Disney evening. I also checked on Cirque, but I was told it would be "dark" during our visit. The girls think they are so grown-up that they don't need me to go anywhere with them(LOL). They really want to do PI one night, but my DH and I both agree that they are a little too young, still. DD is soooo upset with me over that one, but I refuse to reconsider(I rarely EVER win an argument anymore, so I will take this one as a victory, in her best interests of course). We will most likely spend the evening at Planet Hollywood, then do some shopping. We have a waterpark day planned mid-trip(the day we move from BWV to OKW), so we will most likely do DD that evening. I am such an obsessive planner, and the girls' schedules right now leave very little time to do any(band concert tomorrow, cheerleading tryouts next week, academic/athletic/awards banquet the week after, chorus performances, etc.) Only my DD and 1 friend has ever been to WDW, so I am sure the girls will enjoy anything! Thanks again!
