Dinner for 14 that's REALLY SPECIAL!!??

OK, So DH and I are taking our family on a trip to The World in January. The first day we are there will be DMIL's bday, and we want to do something super special. Our tradition is to do Illuminations on our first night. Last year there was a group of people sitting in a reserved spot right by the lake I wanna say near Norway maybe? It was a catered affair, whatever it was. It was roped off obviously just for these people. Does anyone know what that could've been? Is there still a buffet at the Odyssey building? Does anyone have any other suggestions for something ultra-special?

Do you mean the Grand Gathering International Dinner? My friends did it last year and loved it!

I know you can work with Disney events to put together something like this. I read a thread recently about a woman who put together a private dinner and dessert party for her anniversary. They did this in England. I think that the minimum was around $600... but I am not sure... maybe someone can post a link to this thread? I don't know how to find it, or post links....

You can call WDW Main Switchboard at 407-824-2222 and ask for Group Sales.

There are several venues at Epcot which can be rented for $200 or more. There is also a Food and Beverage minimum of $20 per person for at least 20 people. This is where the $600 minimum comes in, 200 for the space rental plus $400 for the F&B (plus taxes and gratuity, of course). If you have fewer than 20 people, you will still get charged for at least 20.

But they can work with you on this. And you really get a private area with nobody other than your group.
