Where should we have dinner during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? We are celebrating my son's 3rd birthday.

I think Crystal Palace would be a great place. We did that before MVMCP and also one year before the halloween party.....excellent food and good choices even for your young one ......characters are good ones for that age too....

Unfortunately, you may have slim choices. When you buy your tickets to MVMCP, you were able to book your ADR for dinner ressies. So most have been booked up since May 1st when MVMCP tickets went on sale. But if you have your choice, we are eating at Liberty Tree Tavern the night of our MVMCP and we will also be celebrating our son's 3rd birthday! :cool1:

Best of luck in getting the ADR of your choice!!! pixiedust:

Dinner on the night of the parties are pretty much booked, but you might luck out on a cancellation (I actually got LTT before the party from an awesome DISer today). You can also consider restaurants on the monorail for dinner.

For a 3 year old I would think that the Crystal Palace would be perfect! It IS probably booked solid keep calling every day and you might be able to get an ADR.

I would have an early dinner somewhere before the party starts, that way you don't spend precious party time in a restaurant.

You can always grab popcorn or a hotdog while you watch the parade if you need a little snack.

Because the party is a hard ticket event you can get into MK at 4pm. Try for a ressie right at that time at either CP or LTT. Then later have some cookies and hot cocoa (given out free) if you need a snack. You might find something at that opening hour.

Somewhere fast and early - we try to avoid eating for long during the party because you miss shows or parades - better to eat earlier before all the festivities begin so you don't miss any opportunities. We try to eat around 5:00 if we're doing a sit down dinner on an MVMCP day. CS can be a little later since they don't take as long.

We're going to the MVMCP on 12/9 and have a 4:30 ADR at TTS. Like the others mentioned, I scheduled mine on 6/9 (180 days out). The original ADR they would only offer 6:25 or later so I waited for my 180 day mark and changed it so we'd be done by 7 PM. :santa:

I've been trying practically every day to get an early ADR for Chef Mickey on the 7th Dec Party night as this is also our last night before we go home but the earliest I could get at the 180 day mark was 7.55pm so I'm just going to keep trying but its not looking likely for us!

We'll probably just eat offsite otherwise and have a late lunch early dinner!

I probably wouldn't plan on eating DURING MVMCP. You will miss so much of the party. And since you paid extra for those tickets, it seems like a waste of money. Especially since your little one is so young and will probably be asleep early.

I would plan on celebrating at lunch time somewhere and then just grabbing a quick counter service or snack during the party. If you weren't planning on going to a park during the day, pick a restaurant at one of the resorts or offsite. Like maybe Chef Mickeys??

We didn't waste time at TS during the party; we grabbed a quicker bite at Cosmic Ray's.popcorn:: If you want a TS, then I suggest LTT. The character dinner is only there until January 2009.:thumbsup2

we always do cosmic ray's early- something fast so we can enjoy the party. we just have a late and large breakfast (like princess breakfast at norway) and then we have a snack instead of lunch since we eat a late breakfast. we would do CR at like 5 or 6pm.

If you cannot get ADRs at the park, you could try Grand Floridian Cafe, or 1900 Park Fare. . . I love the Grand at Christmas time!!
