Someone posted a question about the dinner at Storytellers. Well, how about the dinner buffet at Goofy's?? How is the food?? What is typically on the buffet?? How is the kid choices?? Characters?? Thank you for the info!!

We did this one too and I found the kids buffet there to be better than the kid options at Storytellers- which was great for the fussy eater adult in my party. Overall I was feeling underwhelmed by the food for the price and then we had a character moment that was well worth the price just for that memory.

I actually don't remember what we adults had, so I guess it wasn't that memorable, but it tasted fine. I remember they had lots of selections for the kids; I think both my boys had Disney-shaped mac & cheese (cute!), fresh fruit, and lots of other selections.

What WAS memorable about the food was the variety of desserts! They all looked yummy, and included kid fare (including "dirt & worms", chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos on top and gummy worms) and adult fare like cheesecakes and eclairs. Little tiny ones, so you didn't feel too guilty getting more than one kind. :)

And I agree that the character interaction is well worth the money all on its own. We saw 6 characters in a hour and a half, and got to spend time with each one individually at our table as we ate. To meet so many in such a short time, as well as have a good meal, can't be beat!

I second that about the food ! I can't remeber what it all is, but i really like the mickey chicken nuggetts! it is a great way to get ready for Dl if you get in the day before you go to the parks. We had a blast , and will do it again next month.

I actually prefer Goofy's for brunch, less cost and better food. The dinner didn't really impress me. But I do remember a salmon dish that I loved as well as the fish tacos. There was a salad bar, a few potato dishes, a rice dish, chicken noodle soup, prime rib, enchiladas....can't really remember what else. The kids had mac n cheese, chicken strips, hot dogs, and pizza. Probably more, but I can't remember.

But then, as with any character meal, you're not there for the food. The characters have always been great.

We liked the salmon, shrimp, prime rib, dim sum, spaghetti, etc. We really have never had a bad meal there. Something for everyone including the picky eaters. If you like volume and lots of characters this is the place. If you are following a controlled eating plan, this is not the place. One of the mice from Cinderella kept coming over and speed kissing my 17 yo son. Pretty funny.

Thanks for all replies. My DH is 6'8 and low carbs so he can eat alot of meat!!! So a buffet with a carving station usually works well for us. It sounds like a great way to start our trip. Keep the reviews coming!!

I love Goofy's for dinner. The last couple of times we have eaten there its been really good. The salad bar the last couple of visits has had pesto, some nice toasted, carmelized pecans and a very nice salad (that is not iceberg lettuce thank goodness). I also like their salmon, and the fish tacos. The desserts aren't bad either. They also have a very nice fruit selectioin. So you can actually be pretty healthy or go all out on prime rib and other high fat stuff! There is something for everyone, it is expensive but at least you don't leave hungry. And I believe they give (but don't advertise) a small AAA discount.

We just did Goofy's kitchen for dinner in December. The food was really good and we had a blast with the character interaction. I got my picture taken with close to ten characters in less than an hour and all the characters stayed for about 5-10 minutes a piece.

I don't really remember all that they offered food wise because there was so much to choose from. I do remember I really liked the pizza and the flourless chocolate cake though.

If you have AAA they will take off 10% off the bill.
