Dinner before Illuminations cruise?

I'm not familiar with the Boardwalk area at all. The cruise leaves from YC. Check in is 7:45. Four adults who like a variety of cuisines want dinner before the cruise but don't want to have to eat at 5:00 to make the cruise in time. Restaurant recommendations? Coming from Poly by car. Thanks for advice.

What price range are you thinking?
On the expensive side I would recommend Yachtsmen Steakhouse. It is a great, upscale meal. The food is delicious and the service is gracious. I would recommend eating by about 6 PM to make your checkin at the Yacht Club marina. But Yachtsmen is right there. That early there will also be more families with children
My other thought for a less expensive dinner would be the Clam Bake at Cape May Café. It is not the best food I have had on property, but it was good and I would go again. A benefit of the buffet is that you are in control of how long it takes to eat and perhaps you could eat a bit later. But it is a few minutes longer walk to the marina as well.
Enjoy

Thank you. It is my adults kids and spouses who will be going to dinner and on the cruise so I will recommend this to them. I think they will prefer it over the clam bake.

Yachtsman is very good - it's steak house. If they would rather not spend a ton of money, but still want good food, Capt. Grills at YC is also excellent. As PP has mentioned, Cape May is a big seafood buffet at BC (right next to YC).

If they aren't on the dining plan, I would also recommend looking at bluezoo at the Dolphin (right next to YC) and Il Mulino (Italian) and Kimono's (sushi) at the Swan. Swan/Dolphin has, arguably, some of the best restaurants on property.

We also like Trattoria al Forno at BWI (but Il Mulino has better Italian), though I'd actually recommend walking over to the Boardwalk after the cruise to see the nighttime entertainment or even perhaps go to one of the clubs (Atlantic Dance Hall and JellyRolls) or go to AbracadaBAR for some unique drinks. They will also find Ample Hills at BWI which has some of the best ice cream on property.

Shula's at the Dolphin-best steaks on property, the bread is unbelievable and every side we have tried (almost all of them on one trip or another) has been fantastic.

Thanks they are not on the DP so I'll have them look at the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin and DS.

Great choices but each will take longer to get to the YC Marina so plan to eat a bit earlier in order to make the checkin time.

Its only a 5-10 minute walk from the Swolphin over to the YC if you don't go all the way around the Boardwalk, so a little extra time, but NBD.
